I don't know about you, but when I paint fixtures with a sloppy broad brush, I make sure to wear my finest, most expensive designer shirts. Just like Michelle Obama.

Went to a clearance sale at a resort this weekend and bought a bunch of tee-shirts for $5 - $7 each that sold for much more originally. One thing the Obamas do not do is show people struggling with surviving financially how to make-do in these bad economic times.
The Obamas are intent on impressing uber-rich people (and failing at it - class cannot be bought for any amount of money). News of them partying down at the WH doesn't cheer people up - in fact, it has the opposite effect. The dollar store parking lots in my city are always packed with shoppers. The malls - not so much anymore.

In a statement issued yesterday, the first lady said the spirit of selflessness and service in the wake of the 9/11 tragedy is what inspired the first National Day of Service and Remembrance last year.
I realize Michelle has only recently become proud of her country, but there have been thousands of days of selfless service by millions of Americans without any prodding from the Obamas. She just hasn't noticed.
You buy shirts that look like that for $ 5.00 in Walmart :)
