In Obama-world, liberals equate “Jobs Saved” with “Jobs Created” so they take every job that someone didn’t lose (but would have if the messiah didn’t come) and add that to the anemic job creation number, and voila!
Obama created more jobs than all presidents before him combined.
In typical liberal fashion they take credit for any perceptible gain and deny any responsibility for even the most egregious and obvious losses.

I believe the average unemployment rate was 5.2% under GWB. And where are we now? 9.6% and heading north toward 10%. All the so-called “jobs created or saved” don’t change those numbers.

The basis for the claim is sheer, blind panic. They are looking at Nov 2 and it’s beginning to sink it. So they’re just manufacturing bigger and bigger whoppers, in hopes constituents believe them. In this case, they won’t because the lies have no basis in fact. You can tell uninformed people Obama is a Christian, and they might believe it. You can’t tell out of work people there are plenty of jobs when real unemployment is approaching 20%.

They've been doing it for years. They've just about got everyone convinced that Clinton ran a budget surplus. How do you run a surplus when the nation debt has never once stopped going up since well before Clinton took office?
The fact that unemployment reached historic lows during the Bush Administration of 4.5% which is considered FULL EMPLOYMENT by all reputable Economists and the Unemployment rate under Obama reached 30 year HIGHS of just over 10%, I'd say Shields is an incompetent jackass who doens't have a clue what he's talking about.

Bush had an unemployment rate of around 4% until the Dems took over and now we are really over 15%. 15% > 4%.
