The pastor at the centre of the Koran-burning row has challenged a New York Imam to call off the building of a mosque at Ground Zero.
Pastor Terry Jones and his colleague Pastor K A Paul read out their telephone number live on television and said the Imam has just two hours to respond.
"It appear that the pastor has reconsidered his earlier deal over the New York mosque."

My understanding is that the Florida imam agrees with Jones about the Ground Zero mosque, and wants to convince the Grand Mufti of Ground Zero to move it.
Which is never gonna happen anyhow.
Romans 12:17-19 is worth considering in this context:
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
By “all men”, Paul includes unbelievers. Publicly burning a Koran is volutional disobedience to the instruction to live peaceably with all men. It’s an American right to make such expression; it’s just not right for Christians to do so.
It’s not a Mosque. It’s a Rabat. Look it up.

Jesus also took a whip to the moneychangers in the temple and drove them out. I know this issue isn’t exactly analagous, but what is? Do we continue to appease until we put ourselves in a position to be persecuted? Because that’s what Muslim majorities, or with any degree of the power to do so, do to other religions.

At this point, I think that this pastor has done a lot of good. More and more people are coming out and being less ashamed of being ‘intolerant,’ about what these scum are doing.

Some of these ideas are in jest, I guess, but one thing is for certain. All the humanitarian outreach on one hand and the bombing on the other has not gotten the attention of the muslim in the street the way this has.
I watched the evening news last night, Katie’s station, and they were falling all over themselves finding stories about how muslims all the sudden feel the heat in this country. I don’t want to see anyone mistreated but I think they do need to understand the frustration we have felt for decades with them and how this is a country where there is freedom for all and freedom of religion, etc, and we want it to stay that way. I am glad in areas, America is waking up. No sharia here!
In that respect, that preacher in Florida has done more in this war on terror than anything else.
