Old People Turn on Obama Sellout Andy Griffith
The government recently enlisted aged actor Andy Griffith for a commercial showcasing Medicare benefits available through health care reform. North's Carolina's old people, at least, didn't appreciate these lies, and Griffith's favorability rating has dropped 25 percentage points there.
Once a hack, always a hack?
Tick a lock, Ange.

.....who knew?
No surprise. He helped raise that freak Ron (OPIE) Howard.
When they weren’t stuffing their faces at Aunt Bee’s or going fishing, he was probably reading Das Kapital to “Opie”.
Seniors are finding out that AARP has lied to them about all the wonderful benefits of socialized medicine. My aunt and uncle (in their 80s) have. My aunt was particularly a big Obama supporter. Then my uncle developed a urinary tract problem. Couldn’t get in to see a doctor — had two visits with a nurse practitioner who did nothing but prescribe antibiotics (which didn’t work). I told my aunt — get used to it; this is the future of health care.
My aunt and I both have pacemakers — wonderful devices, but like any electronic device, they wear out. Once this so-called health care reform really gets going, we may not be able to get replacement pacemakers. If our pacemakers fail, we are dead.
From what I understand, Griffith has always been left. He’s campaigned for Obama.
Even though he grew up in NC, he has a lot of associations with Hollywood liberals. I’d like to think that he was one of those old Democrats that never realized the party left America for European Socialism, but I don’t think that’s the truth.

Liar = Obama.

Thief = Congress.
Con artist = Piss-Stream Media.
Throw 'em all out.
Mayberry CCCP
I have to tell you... I always smelled something funny about that casting. The two of them have a striking resemblance, IMO, especially the mouth. If Andy isn't Ron Howard's real father, then lightning struck the casting department. I once saw a video of Andy Griffith on stage as a very young man and my first thought was, "That's Ron Howard!":
Maybe that explains why Clint Howard is a conservative. None of Ange’s influence.
Movies made it possible for them to hide their ignorance, stupidity and lack of common sense.
I have a strong suspicion that if you threw an economics question at Griffiths you would get a "deer-in-the-headlights" stare back.
I’ve read that Andy has always been a pri_k. He’s very rude to anyone who asks for an autograph. I, for one, don’t understand why anywone would want one but....
I agree and throw out this thought. An Actor's stock-in-trade is the same thing as being a con-man, it is the innate ability to lie convincingly. And, as psychology has shown, such people very seldom have the ability to hold themselves apart from their peer groups.
Historically, these groups of entertainers have been shown to be libertine and aloof from contemporary morality. Andy Griffith has ridden his Mayberry Persona for decades, he is not what he portrayed.
GREAT movie!
Oh Vitajex...whatcha doin’ to me....
“Andy never knew what to REALLY do with Helen..I woulda I guarantee ya....”
Ol’ Barney probably would have too. According to Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou from Andy Griffith), Knotts was uncanny in his ability to woo female co-stars in darn near every acting gig he had. Lynn demurred on whether that included her..but she didn’t say “no”, either.
I would assume this trend didn’t continue into the Mr. Furley/Three’s Company days, however. :-)
Clint’s Seinfeld episode as the LA hillside strangler was a classic - always tip $5!
Yep, they pretend to be some one that they are not, and the better they do it, the more they make.
Is it any wonder that they love the demonRATS?
Good one. I hated Mayberry RFD and never really cared for Andy Griffith either.
