The Dove World Training Center in Gainesville, Florida and its pastor Perry (sic) Jones plan a Koran bonfire on the ninth anniversary of the World Trade Center-Pentagon enormity.

But it is disgusting. And it is disgusting no matter how many people believe the act would be and should be protected by the First Amendment.
In fact, it is uncivilized. I believe that the Obama administration should go to the Supreme Court or maybe tactically to the most sensible and civilized appellate court and seek an injunction against this atrocity that 1. will encourage Muslim madmen to respond in kind and 2. will also encourage primitive Christians to extend and expand the auto da fé.

If he continues with this, first responders should refuse to answer emergency calls from the church.

Although I don’t like the Koran burning thing, THIS is even worse. Government should stay the hell out of this.

So, if people who oppose flag burning blow up a few buildings the New Republic will ask Congress to put a halt to the practice? Sounds like a Democrat’s idea of a plan.

This has to be thrown right back in their faces when it comes to the Grond Zero mosque, flag burning, etc.

If they respond in kind, it too would be disgusting but that is not the issue. Responding in kind would be burning Bibles but that is not how the ROP will respond. Terrorism and murder is not responding in kind.

Join the crowd..The last thing I needed this week was mixed thought when it comes to anything f'ing islam.
Burn it I say. Won't change a damn thing other than to send a message that were friggen tired of "victims" that want to kill Americans when we ourselves constantly keep our manners.

It's a liberal college town anyway.
Huge CNN satellite trucks are everywhere, running locals off the road trying to turn around in the middle of the streets, ignoring traffic signals. Police are pulling people over right and left for apparently just driving down the street, one guy in a pickup had five patrol cars lights flashing, surrounding him, he probably gave a one finger salute to the rude satellite trucks. What a mess, and meanwhile nobody is talking about any REAL ISSUES!

The powers that be are nervous about this because they believe it will elicit violence from the Muslims in America. The hand of the government would then be forced to act with force against that violence. From there it would escalate.
The end result is that the Democrats would lose a promising future constituency that lives to play the victim card.
