LOS ANGELES - Police beating victim Rodney King is engaged to one of the jurors who awarded him a $3.8 million settlement, RadarOnline reported Tuesday.
King and Cynthia Kelley said they first felt a romantic spark when they met in a Newport Beach pizzeria the day after the controversial 1994 jury award.
Both were married at the time, which complicated the blossoming relationship.
They later separated when King joined the cast of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" after multiple arrests for being under the influence of PCP.
Four months ago, King, 44, called Kelley on a whim.

I doubt it was for the money, that 3.8 mil is long gone by now.

"I am setting the over/under for this marriage at 15 months." Yes, but the real question is how long does it take for the PoPo to show up on the first domestic call?
Do they make it to Christmas before someone goes - well - "Rodney King" on the other.

When I’m saying the Sorrowful Mysteries tonight, I’ll pray that Mr. King finally learns to stay out of trouble.

I’m hoping it works out, if for no other reason than to never hear about him again.

Having watched VH1's celebrity rehab, he seemed the sanest of the bunch. His struggle with alcoholisim was quite brutal, laugh all you want but the man struggled with some serious, personal demons. I hope he finds some happiness, he seems to have overcome his alcholisim and is quite humble after the hell he went through at the hands of the LAPD. Alcholisim is a wretched thing.
