Cup of Serenity would like to apologize to TraidMommies, and to all breastfeeding mothers for the incident in our store yesterday. We are in full support of the planned nurse-in and will also support a "Breastfeeding Friday," and breastfeeding at anytime. We hope to turn our mistake into a way to help mothers everywhe...
Wait ‘til all the pervs show up for “Breastfeeding Friday.”
Bet she went to a coffee shop where there are lots of seniors. Older men don’t like to see women nursing without a cover.
I’d bet dollars to donuts that she did not have a cover over herself and her baby. If she did, I stand corrected. I have no problem with nursing mothers, in fact most times, I don’t even notice.
I do, however, detest militant nursing moms trying to make a point. Why can’t everyone just be considerate?
“Breastfeeding Friday- free cream in every cup of coffee!”
I’ve never seen a woman nursing in public without a cover. I’m sure it’s happened but I am also sure it’s pretty rare.
That’s what happened in my old hometown. A woman was asked to leave when she was breastfeeding publicly. The militant breasties went nuts and the mall backed down. Soon the food court was full of women showing tit and urban males checking them out while making comments, some taking pics with phones.
The breasties decided to retreat and demanded a nursing room.
First there was WOW - Whip ‘em out Wednesdays
Now there’s - FOF - Fling ‘em out Fridays
Wonder if they’ll have a special Free De-caf for D-cups promotion on their Breastfeeding Fridays.
Oh look! Tami makes sense on the FB page
“Tami Jones So let me get this straight, all of you angered by the events would just rather see the coffee shop go out of business? You’d like to add to the unemployment total in Greensboro, maybe add some more foreclosed homes to the list as well? The co-owner asked her to be modest about breastfeeding because it made other guests feel uncomfortable. Maybe instead of attacking this lady for doing her job in customer service, you should direct your anger on the ones she had hear complaints from. Think about it for one second, if you needed to stay in business and 20 people were saying they were going to leave if you didn’t handle 1 person, who would you choose to make happy? Would this have attracted so much attention had the owner stayed silent? Seriously, what would you anti-serenity protesters do in the owner’s position?”
We had one in church. 300 lbs. Ugh
Apparently the coffee shop picked on the wrong pair of breasts to offend.. In quick fashion a “nurse-in” was threatened upon the shop and it would have been deluged by nursing mothers.
Smart move to apologize and accommodate.
Now that’s good PR damage control. Nip it fast before anger can build much, absolutely no weaseling to escape responsibility, and use a method to rectify the problem that can leave no doubt you’re sincere.
They turned a potential business loser into a way to make more money. Small business on its toes. Gotta love it.
LOL!!
Women have foregone all modesty. What a shame.
I have trouble imagining anyone objecting to breastfeeding under a cover. Without one, in a public place, especially a restaurant or coffee shop...?
I can relate....I was once asked to leave church for nursing a beer.
I’ve seen it at the mall.
My girls were outright loud about it.
“Mommy that lady took her boobie out of her shirt!”
Needless to say, I was quite embarrassed and walked them away quickly. They were just little girls who are told they cannot go topless like their male cousins.
We had a quick talk about feeding babies but I was still embarrassed.
lol
Were any of the other customers allowed to bring “Outside Food” in?
Benny Hill beat 'em to it 30 years ago.
