Members of the New Black Panther Party showed up in Gainesville Monday to let The Dove World Outreach Center know it is outraged by its plan to burn the Koran.
"I believe in peace but if you aggress me, I am going to fight back," said State Chairman of the New Black Panther Party Mikhail Muhammad.
The church plans to burn the holy book Saturday on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The pastor's plan has reached all the way to Afghanistan where Monday hundeds of demonstrators burned a cardboard effigy of the Gainesville pastor, Terry Jones.
"We are not surprised at all that they are responding in that way because that's the nature of Sharia law, that's the nature of violent Islam," said Jones.
SNIP
"We basically want to warn Pastor Terry Jones that if he burns this Koran, he's going to insight a wrath and chastisement on himself that he will not be able to bare (sic) and all he's going to do is add more division between Muslims and Christians when we should be sitting down at the table to resolve our differences," said Muhammad.
The New Black Panther Party say it will be back in Gainesville Saturday to show the church and the world they won't stand for religious hatred.

Some Christians of questionable theology have conflated the repentance scene of Acts 19 with this protest burning at which no ex-Muslim has announced he or she will be at.

Paul was not an ex-muslim. They came and confessed...after this Paul...
The burning was with his approval.
And, in any case, no matter anything else: there's an approval of the burning of satanic lies.

Smoking people out who are known to be violent by string to get them to kill you?
Not the brightest idea in my book.

Maybe they can BBQ a pig along with the books. I don't think BBQ pork would taste very good being made with all the crap in that book.

Paul, a non-convert from those religions, was approving of those books being burned. Its a fact AND its proven by Luke, Pauls traveling companion, including the story in this book of Acts. Facts count for little to those driven by an agenda, as you've seen in this thread.

I've always dreamed of the day some SEAL, Ranger, Delta, or Special Forces guy called out one of these wannabe bad asses, one on one. I would pay major bucks to see their "power to the people" arm broke in to pieces and wrapped around their own racist neck.

totally out of context.

And a question must be asked, why at this particular time with this particular book, when there has been no shortage of egregiously bad and wrong writings long before Islam burst upon America’s attention with the terror bombings of 9/11/01? How about burning some copies of Roe v. Wade?

Funny his sporting a Rooskie name. Actual Rooskies (both Soviet era and afterwards) would pummel the living daylights out of Moose trying to flaunt themselves against their land.

I guess you must have missed the part of the verse that says that these new Christians burned their Idolatrous Sacred books "IN THE SIGHT OF EVERYONE"
They wanted the idolaters to know that they were rejecting their idolatry and burning their sacred texts. They did, in fact, launch a media blitz, since it was reported in every Bible ever printed after that event.
This church apparently owns a copy of the Koran. They need to burn it.
Your comment is replete with the fallacies of special emphasis and special pleading, ignoring everything in actual teaching about how to behave toward outsiders/unbelievers in favor of making, ad hoc for the purpose of justifying the burning of the Koran on supposedly Christian grounds, a specific, single historical incident into some sort of general Christian rule of behavior.
