A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

LOVE these pictures!!! Thank you SO much. What a delight to see our beloved president. I miss him so very much—as I know all of us here do.

Get your DVRs/Tivos ready! (I would if I had one--and would love a copy if anyone records it!) :)

National Geographic will air a program TONIGHT called: George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview. President Bush provides the only narration to the program.

There is a preview on the NG site at the above link. Also, Martha MacCallum interviewed the director and executive producer. I thought she did a great job. President Bush's Intimate 9/11 Interview

This should be fascinating and heartwrenching. It will also make us grateful, once again, for our amazing leader.

I’m soooo ready! I guess I’ll have to actually watch it tomorrow. Hubby already had too many things set up to record to catch the early one, so is DVR’ing the one at midnight CDT.

Better late than never. I don’t know how to make a tape or DVD from the DVR or I’d send you one. :) I hope you get one somehow. Maybe NatGeo will sell them. If so, I want one, too!

Cannot wait to watch it tonight. As for Martha McCallum, is there any doubt she’s as big a fan of GWB as we all are?

THANKS for the reminder, dmd25! DVR set!

It will be bittersweet - a wonderful reminder of the strong, patriotic President we so recently had, and a painful reminder of what we have lost.

She was very obviously moved—and I had the same thought—I think she likes GWB.

Hey dmd25 and to those of you that don’t have the National Geographic channel good news - you can pre-order President Bush’s interview on DVD from their official site and they’ll ship to you on Sept. 16th. Please order a copy or two so you can also send it to your friends or family, it’s a must see for everybody!

It was a wonderul interview, only spoiled by the marxist's appearance at the end, and if I can nitpick, (and I must) the title should have been:

President George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview

Exactly - PRESIDENT George W Bush. You know darn well that whenever Clinton is interviewed the media always use the (correct)title, President (or former president).

Yes, every other former democrat president is always given his due respect.

PRESIDENT George W Bush, most certainly deserved respect, and most assuredly for this historical interview.
