A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

“Thank you! :) I wondered....”

A great story and mostly true; especially the important parts. We all that W is a selfless guy who is always concerned about those who serve.

But the part about him driving there with no SS coordination made mew wonder!

I have always said that unlike that lazy arrogant pos that currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, President Bush worked on his vacations. Here is an article by someone that agrees and proves it.

In reaction to the criticism over the Obama family heading to Martha’s Vineyard amidst gargantuan economic woes and unemployment rates so high even the dead are disturbed, liberals have taken to defending Obama’s vacation time (transportation compliments of two tax-payer funded jets) by portraying George W. Bush as a man who never worked.

According to Obama’s defenders, Bush vacation days were disproportionately greater when compared to Barack “nose-to-the-grindstone” Obama’s. The left argues that Obama has earned 10 days in a haven for multimillionaires because Bush spent eight years in perpetual party mode.

Mr. Bush did spend time on “vacation.” But Obama and Michelle closing down Bar Harbor, Maine to dine in upscale restaurants with a “Latin flair” is quite different from G.W. fishing on his family’s estate in Kennebunkport prior to hosting a “Lobster Summit” for Vladimir Putin.

According to CBS reporter Mark Knoller, a vacationing President Bush would go into town for an annual cheeseburger. On the other hand, every chance he gets, Barack relaxes seaside, sipping sunset cocktails and eating lobster while the Secret Service keep peons at bay.

Maybe scorekeepers could refresh America’s memory and cite the instance when Mr. and Mrs. Bush nearly brought the Big Apple to a halt while they leisurely took in dinner and a show.

Intermittently, George W. did head home to conduct business from the “Western White House” in Crawford, Texas. For fun, Mr. Bush would be seen with a “power saw in his hand going after brush and dead trees.” President Obama has got to know that no one would condemn a decision to head home to his Tony Rezko-acquired property on South Greenwood Avenue in Chicago, instead of his $4,000 a night “Winter White House” in Hawaii.

You are welcome. I think it is needless to say that I bookmarked the article and will use it to throw it back at the left wingers when they bring President Bush’s vacations up

Obama is the kind of creep everyone has known in their lifetime no matter who you are. The one that is absolutely lazy and worthless. Where did they find him? They really scraped the bottom of the barrel when they found him. Hillary and Bill and Carter are bad enough; but Obama is a nothing. I would be embarrassed if I were Wookie Wide Load to be married to him. She must know that you can’t cover up forever. He is an insult to every person in America no matter what side of the fence you are on.

Right on! That’s a very well-written article. Glad you’ve posted it. Obama thinks he can live like a prince traveling around to these glamorous places and dine on gourmet food off of our hard-earned money. What a disgrace and it’s disgusting. This man has to go next year. I’m done with him. Thank you Kaslin!

Now, on to a happier subject... some new pics straight from Kennebunkport!

President Bush and longtime family friend Cyndi Smith. The pic was either taken on Monday or over the weekend. It appears they were playing a game of paddle ball.

Bike ride yesterday morning:

Cyndi with Paul Morse. Paul was GWB's White House photographer and he also shot many of the photos of the Warrior 100k bike ride the President and the 14 wounded soldiers participated in this past April in the West Texas desert.

GWB in the lead as usual!

We always said we knew, though he’d been proud to be President, he’d be happy to be finally out of the White House, after his two terms. These pictures offer proof of that!

All right, here’s whole batch of photos of President Bush and his Peloton One crew riding around this week in Kennebunkport as he wrapped up his vacation there. Peloton is the French word for a group of bikers traveling together. GWB named his crew after Air Force One, Marine One… get it? Boy there’s no slowing down this man, going strong at 65!
