The rugmaker would be to blame only if they had drawn him a picture of the rug with "Something by Martin Luther King, Jr." in one place and the rugmaker had come up with the quote. If they had done that and the rugmaker came up with the rug equivalent of the cake below, he wouldn't be to blame.
