The following is an official statement by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio regarding today’s lawsuit filed against his office by the U.S. Justice Department in Washington, D.C. for alleged refusal to turn over documents. It is followed by another statement from his Washington, D.C. attorney, Bob Driscoll.
“The Obama administration has filed three lawsuits against Arizona in the last few weeks ... one against a college district, one against the state of Arizona and now one against my office. Each lawsuit centers on something to do with alleged racial discrimination.
These actions make it abundantly clear that Arizona, including this Sheriff, IS Washington’s new whipping boy. Now it’s time to take the gloves off.
As for today’s lawsuit against my office: These people in Washington met with my attorneys only a few days ago. And in that meeting, Washington got our cooperation; they admitted they already have thousands of pages of the requested documents; and they were given access to interview my staff and get into my jails.
They smiled in our faces and then stabbed us in the back with this lawsuit. The Obama administration intended to sue us all along, no matter what we did to try to avert it. Washington isn’t playing fair and it’s time Americans everywhere wake up and see this administration for what it really is. Calculating, underhanded at times and certainly not looking out for the best interests of the legal citizens residing in this country. “

COUNSEL TO SHERIFF JOSEPH ARPAIO AND THE MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
“Today’s lawsuit by the Department of Justice is part of a deliberate media strategy to “get tough” on Sheriff Arpaio and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and undermine immigration enforcement by a local Sheriff who is trying desperately to make up for this Administration’s own indifference to the topic.
The DOJ suit speaks loudly by what it does not say. It does not allege that Sheriff Arpaio or the MCSO have discriminated against anyone because the DOJ, after 18 months of soliciting allegations against Sheriff Arpaio, has come up empty. Even the purported basis for the suit, which alleges a lack of “cooperation,” is a sham. In fact, after meeting with the DOJ last week, just last Friday, on behalf of MCSO, I informed the DOJ that MCSO would cooperate with all reasonable document requests and would schedule tours of MCSO facilities and interviews with senior MCSO command staff. We were awaiting a response from DOJ, and this lawsuit is apparently it. Clearly DOJ is more interested filing its third lawsuit in as many weeks against Arizona defendants than in looking into the allegations that purportedly gave rise to its investigation. This lawsuit is nothing more than an attempt to obscure the fact that DOJ still has no case. Today’s suit over documents does not change that.”

I really think central to all this is Obama’s collective salvation belief. I’m not sure they specifically want a race war but, in his mind, he must punish the oppressor. I truly think this worldview explains a lot of his actions and whether or not he really cares about a second term and whether or not he feels justified in flouting any kind of rule of law to achieve his ends. It seems to me that somehow we have got to come to terms with his deeper motivations for all of this.
Sheriff Joe is a tough man.

DOJ’s case seems to me to be Frivilous and wholy without merit.

I think we win back congress come November. But it will be of little consequence to Obama. He will simply rely upon his DOJ, and his power of executive orders to do his bidding.
I think if we don’t get a new congress which is committed to impeaching this muslim marxist, along with all his fellow travelers in his adminstration, and in congress too, then Obama and his fellow travelers will continue to destroy our nation unabetted.

Appears the DOJ is applying the lessons learned from previous elections results for Washington governor, Wisconsin Senator, Florida's electorate votes...Keep recounting, keep pressure on, recount again, chery pick your targets, recount again, bury them with paperwork until you achieve your desired

a) Obama’s long form COLB from Hawaii
b) Obama’s Occidental college records complete,including scholarship andstudent loan records.
c) Obamas Illinois Bar Application records and client lists .
d) Obama’s selective service filings.
e) A complete list of Obamas Social Security numbers and addresses.
f) Complete unredacted copies of Obama’s travel records and complete passport applications from the State Department.

Sheiff Joe is a highly decorated federal DEA director. He is also an expert on immigration law. Obama went after the wrong man this time.

Obama needs to be impeached, tried for treason and brought to justice. It’s high time to get this purple-lipped, marxist, muslim homo pos out of office.
This also might be a good time to challenge Obamas authority as the head Law Enforcement Officer of the nation and thus the DOJ. Obama is Holders direct boss and whom he takes his marching orders from. Challenge his authority to be the nations top LEO.
Since President Obama is defying the courts in closing the off shore drilling, I see no reason for Arizona or Sheriff Arpaio to obey any court order.

Brewer is exhausted and speechless. I noticed that the other night when she was on with Greta. Yes, we Arizonans have been rendered speechless by the treatment we are receiving at the hands of our own federal government which has shown itself to be ruthless. And trying to make an example of Arizona in the hopes other states will retreat from their own efforts to curb illegal immigration.
King is missing the point. We have reason to fear for our safety here in AZ. And reports of beheadings and other violence south of the border ARE related to drug and human smuggling.
Obama and his cronies have decided to sacrifice the safety of Arizona families at the altar of securing future votes for the Democratic Party.
