Let's look ahead folks. Come the morning after the election the media will try to spin why the democrats got wiped out. We need to make a clear, concise and intentional list of why they lost so that people can post it to their friends.Do not let Chrissy Matthews and his ilk shape the story. We must do it.
1.Health care "reform" and the complete ignoring of the people and their will...
The only thing that will be heard and paid any attention to the day after election day is going to be from the mainstream media who will say what they want to regardless of the facts.
We don’t stand a chance. Anything negative that occurs whatever, anywhere in the world will be blamed on us.
Nothing will change after election day, nothing.
Government too big, too expensive, and does not work. We want to eliminate all government programs and agencies. Including the IRS. Federal Government must be cut down to size. A start would be use the Democrats strategy against them. Find all government programs that benefit less than 40% of the voters and eliminate them first.
The elections are still two months away--the assumption that "we" have already won and can start the investigations is dangerous---
Defeatist p*ssy.
This election will serve 2 fold. 1. Throwing out the democrats that aligned with obama. 2. Giving a freaking wake up call to republicans that they better get in line. Do you think that this tidal wave stops in Nov? Think about all the members that are not up for re-election in nov. but will be in 2012. They are going to try to be showing constituents they are doing what they want. Political deals will be off. This election will have a clear and vivid effect, and that will continue into 2012.
"We have to Pass the Bill, to find out what's in it""No I haven't read the Bill, we have 'experts' for that"
"The Federal Government can do anything it wants to you"
It's reported that more people than 'ever' are now reading the US Constitution and realizing that, 'Hey! You can't do that."
But congress or Barry does 'it' anyway. So 'We The People' people have reached what I call their, 'Popeye Moment'.
"I stands all I can stands, and I can't stands no more!"Enough is enough already.
this is why the Obama administration is bypassing congress.
just look at the executive amnesty issued by obama.
make no mistake. mccain and graham will still push amnesty.
Let’s win our majorities first and then worry about taking credit.
I'm hopeful, and I'll donate and work for Toomey, but it's a little early for champagne and dancing bears.
re: Enough is enough already.
Chicago term ;-)
Might be enough for Chicago, but frankly it’s too much for me!
You are exactly right. The Republicans need to start getting out a message about what they will do. Newt Gingrich is not a particularly nice guy, but he is smart. His Contract with America in 1994 was political genius at work. Running on the platform that “We ain’t Dems” is not enough; we need to say what we will do and we do not need to over-promise. For instance, saying that the Republicans will repeal Obamacare is an empty promise. It is mathematically impossible for the Republicans to end up with 60 seats in the Senate, let alone get enough seats to override a certain Obama veto. We can promise that we will de-fund Obamacare and that we will vote to repeal Obamacare every chance we get, but we cannot repeal it.
It worries me that the Republicans have not put out a platform of specific actions that they will take on any number of issues. Perhaps that is coming, but I have not seen it yet.
MMMM...Custard.
As one who grew up near General Custer's birthplace, I remember first learning about him in school (only his experience at Little Bighorn, not his Civil War service), and thinking of custard.
LOL note to self, put dancing bears back in their pens. My point is we should have a list of why the dems were defeated. That message needs to be clear, it is what they have done and not done that needs to be remembered.
re: Enough is enough already. Chicago term ;-)*** Might be enough for Chicago, but frankly its too much for me! ***
It's too much for most of us. But, I should have clarified -- in Chi we used to add 'already' at the end on almost every sentence. Took me a while to get out of my 'Chicago speak' and into Business English.
To do as you ask would put us in their arena. Let the facts speak for themselves. We can continue to remind people why we need to get out the vote, but presumption can be deadly to any cause.
Tell it like it is...we are not, never have been, nor will tolerate a communist form of government...for too long, the communists have had an open say, WITHOUT REPLY FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, as to how this government will function. The time of the hippie liberal, dope smoking communist is over....put them back in the closet where they belong (this is just wishful thinking, as the vast majority of the GOP are as left of center as the libs)
I was thinking about Colonel Mustard in the den with the knife.
