Now that irresponsible opportunists have brought many of the misled to Washington, we can begin to contemplate what makes bigotry so appealing. Surely, being able to exclude is one of the great joys of the species because it can give a grand identity to the average person.
That identity as one of the elect made the red glow in Southern white necks. They felt part of a civilization in which they were looked down upon until they put on their costumes, screamed loudly at mob gatherings and committed acts of violence.
While bigotry is as American as apple pie, its shelf life is now rather short. The easily dismissed lies that Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich have used to fire up the true believers will not work. After race-baiting as clearly as they could on the issue of a proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero, all of them have attempted to "clarify" what they actually meant.
The reason that opportunists from the right have had to tread carefully is that nobody today desires to be called a racist. And so they've reframed their Islamophobia as an issue of constitutional rights. This is a variation on the purportedly genteel Southern racists who claimed that the real issue during the civil rights movement was not ethnic exclusion, but the rights of states.

The only thing I can think of is this: They never STOPPED taking drugs did they? They were snorting up LSD in the 60’s and they never stopped. It’s the only logical explanation.

I hate to say I so agree with you.
However, I’ve always proposed a foreign-exchange program. We exchange those who HATE America here for those in foreign countries who WANT to be here (no, not Moslems who want to come to blow us up). I’d much rather have the good people from Africa, e.g., than our home-grown welfare queens and shirkers who do nothing but whine and complain and rail against Evil White America.

It’s hard to get worked up over the rantings of a race hustler like Crouch. Crouch is a piece of hate peddling human excrement but only in degree of bombast and ill temper is he any different than the base of Democratic party.

Speaking of exploding liberal heads. Did anyone catch Hannity tonight? Bob Beckel looked like he was attending a funeral! OMG! He had “DEFEAT” written all over his face. Since I had the sound turned down pretty far because I’m on line, I couldn’t tell, but it seemed like he barely contributed anything, like he was only there to fulfill his contract and that was it.

The trouble is, the libs wouldn't go, if you paid them to.
In their blackened little hearts, they know damn well they're lying about America. They know that this is the best place on earth to live your life, although you'll never get them to admit that.
No, what the libs want is to have their cake and eat it too. They've got zero honor or integrity about it. They want you and I to pay for their Socialist Utopia, because all of the other wonderful Socialist countries are broken failures.
Do they want to live under real Marxism, or Communism (as they claim?) HELL NO! They much prefer the status quo of living in an advanced and affluent country, with constitutionally protected rights - all the while protesting the wrongness of our system, to squeeze dollars out of the productive class.
