An estimated 87,000 people attended a rally organized by talk-radio host and Fox News commentator Glenn Beck Saturday in Washington, according to a crowd estimate commissioned by CBS News.

Boy, you’re not kidding, those comments on the CBS News page are Vile Indeed!
Well they have nothing to worry about then!! November will be a cake walk!!
I think they’re confusing the Beck rally attendance figure with Couric’s nightly audience...

.....Not much of an outfit.
From the article:
“The company AirPhotosLive.com based the attendance on aerial pictures it took over the rally, which stretched from in front of the Lincoln Memorial along the Reflecting Pool to the Washington Monument. Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spoke at the rally.”
###
“AirPhotosLive.com gave its estimate a margin of error of 9,000, meaning between 78,000 and 96,000 people attended the rally. The photos used to make the estimate were taken at noon Saturday, which is when the company estimated was the rally’s high point.”
****
That margin of error is a helluva lot mor than 9,000. And please note the photos in the article. Looks to me like they were cropped a bit.
When even NBC says 300,000, you know its C”BS”
these asshole wonder why nobody watches them.....the real number is between 800K and up...it’s easy to see and figure out just by looking at the photo from the Washington Monument.
I wonder if they do overnight polling for CSPAN?
Yep, I was there and I have pictures of the crowd stretching past the WWII Memorial (at the bottom of this picture) and up to the Washington Memorial.
CBS: yet another organization that just doesn’t get it
LOL!!!!
I’m envious.
Wife and I had watched a few programs when we were staying at our kids houses from time to time babysitting so we figured oh, what the heck, at least we can watch Fox, Cash Cab, Deadliest Catch and Gordon Ramsey.
I even bought us a 30 something inch flat screen because we threw away our old TVs. WHAT A MISTAKE! IIRC it's costing us TWICE what we intended because we didn't "opt out" of an "upgrade" to Xfinity.
Even with hundreds of channels there is practically NOTHING on for us. Sometimes during the day I'll put on reruns of Bonanza or Gunsmoke and even Andy Griffith if I can forget about his leftism, but for the little we watch it, it just isn't worth the time or money.
About 6 times that of the million man march.
It's the news that's important, the numbers are give and take....
Also, none of the pictures give you an idea of how many people were hidden by the trees on either side. You can see some of them on the right side, but the trees on the left side are too thick.
So basing a crowd estimate on these aerial photos is bogus.
That is so cool. Is it possible and ok to post on my FB page?
Very conservative estimate not distorted by liberal press would be 300,000 if Glen’s estimates about a couple of the sections are true. 500k and up is possible although I don’t believe 1 million as Bachmann speculated. Since NBC is willing to acknowledge 300k I believe we can assume it was more then that.
Doesn't get standing in the ratings I presume is whats meant? LOL!
