Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum still has "serious questions" about gubernatorial opponent Rick Scott's "character, his integrity, his honesty," and he does not plan to endorse Scott as the GOP candidate for governor.
McCollum confirmed to reporters Thursday that he called Scott Wednesday "to congratulate him and wish him well."
Asked whether he would consider endorsing Scott, McCollum replied: I still have serious questions and I have had them throughout the time that Ive had the very brief acquaintanceship with Rick Scott about issues of his character, his integrity, his honesty, things that go back to Columbia/HCA.

Freegards,

What is it about Florida and hissy fits? First Christ - now McCollum (loser looks like an angry chipmunk).
sore loser
Sorry - Aggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh - should be Crist;(
Yep.
Scott wasnt my guy but Ill support him 100% in the fall. McCollum is a good guy but fails to see the conservative storm coming....like so many of the DC class.
The Entitled is upset. It was supposed to be his turn. He is taking his marbles and going home. Looks like by his reaction, the voters made the right choice.

SO I GUESS HE WON’T ACCEPT A SCOTT OFFER FOR RUNNING MATE....
maybe a 3rd for nov...??
He should have expressed those doubts about Scott a little more during the campaign. If Scott is a crook, that should have been made very clear. If he’s not a crook, then endorsement should be forthcoming.
McCollum is gonna do a Crist, I’ll almost bet on it.
Fl get ready for a liberal female rat governor. Thanks bill!
McCollum’s true colors are showing. As one who lives in Fla. I am glad career politican McCollum got the boot. Wonder if McCollum is Crist’s soulmate? Or he is afraid that by getting booted out of politics he will have to find a real job in this bad economy. A job for which he has no experience nor qualifications. His actions support why he lost, i.e. he was/is a RINO who will say anything to get elected.
Sorry for double post.
The GOP establishment will not go easily. Did he ask for a NRSC lawyer like Murkowski did?

I supported McCollum. This is not a class act thing to do.
Bill should think. Nelson’s seat will be comming up.
This is just one more proof that the majority of current Republican office holders were/are in it for their own benefit and not that of doing the business the citizens , as individuals, could not.

McCollum never had a chance...lackluster persona, crappy campaign...but at least he's a straight shooter.
Scott made his bucks gaming the system and GOT CAUGHT doing it. He's going to make the Republican Party look bad.
