Bedbugs can be found in mattresses, furniture and clothing, and they feed off animal and human blood. Insect scientists say bedbugs are appearing on a scale not seen since before World War II. High-traffic areas such as hotels, airplanes and cruise ships are especially prone to infestations.
Ohio has three cities in the top 10 Cincinnati is fourth, Columbus is seventh and Dayton is eighth.

Interesting that the bugs arent big on Washington D.C. Maybe they have the same opinion of the political class as we do.
My mother-in-law had bed bugs last year. We think that she picked them up in the University of Penna Hospital.

Actually, Cincinnati is one of the most conservative cities I’ve ever lived in. I still miss it.

If it was just NY and Philly, I'd say bedbugs thrived on nasty, obnoxious people.
The bloodsuckers stay away from DC for the same reason sharks don’t eat lawyers: professional courtesy.
Cleveland is too cold for a lot of illegal Mexicans.
However, if you read the Orkin based report, Cinti is first and NYC is eighth.
Washington (and the surrounding suburbs) are #9 on the Terminix list.
