The controversial website WikiLeaks, which argues the cause of openness in leaking classified or confidential documents, has set up an elaborate global financial network to protect a big secret of its own—its funding.

"The linchpin of WikiLeaks's financial network is Germany's Wau Holland Foundation. WikiLeaks encourages donors to contribute to its account at the foundation, which under German law can't publicly disclose the names of donors. Because the foundation "is not an operational concern, it can't be sued for doing anything. So the donors' money is protected, in other words, from lawsuits," Mr. Assange said.

Assange Denies Wrongdoing in Sweden The German foundation is only one piece of the WikiLeaks network.

"We're registered as a library in Australia, we're registered as a foundation in France, we're registered as a newspaper in Sweden," Mr. Assange said. WikiLeaks has two tax-exempt charitable organizations in the U.S., known as 501C3s, that "act as a front" for the website, he said. He declined to give their names, saying they could "lose some of their grant money because of political sensitivities."

Yes, that is a possibility since SOROS is a German national, a former Nazi helper BTW, which few know about.Soros fit right in with the nationalist socialist international cabal which Obama is also a part of.

Sordid SOROS is one of many possibilities. Assange does not strike me as being saavy enough to peg together a multi million dollar business like Wikileaks. Assange is too vacuous, like many on the left , to accomplish that alone.IMHO Assange is merely a figure head, a prancing pony.

I believe that NATO is letting the prancing pony dance, so he will lead them to the big fish.

IMHO, NATO agents have likely already infiltrated, they will roll this network up, once they discover the big funding fish.

It is with some interest that I note that the structure of Wikileaks researchers is the same as any terrorist spy net, with isolated cells who do not know much
about the overall structure.

So that whoever ‘leaks’ something, and that’s a term I don’t like very much, but whoever leaks something leaks it with an agenda.

John Young: ...”the main thing you need to check on is whether documents are genuine or not. And I should point out, and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else, this is the first leak of digital documents. There are no paper records here. I can’t find any paper records; it’s all digital. I’ve looked at the Guardian site, the New York Times site, the Wikileaks sites - as far as I can see - everything is digital. And digital material is notoriously forgeable, manipulable and corruptable. There is no provenance for this information.

Now Wikileaks knows this; they’re experts at
authenticating digital documents by cryptography.
They did not do that in this case.

So we actually don’t know if anything has been leaked at all that is legitimate. I’m surprised that the New York Times, and the Guardian and der Speigel and ... did not do some true technical authentication - at least they have not revealed it if they have.

... so I say, look at the documents, and in this case we have only digital documents, it’s the first time anything like this has been done at this scale of digital documents....
