Our Country Deserves President Who Loves America; Not Obama

Posted on 08/22/2010 4:09:15 PM PDT by JBGUSA

Our country deserves a President who thinks his country is the best country in the world. Obama does not fit this bill. He is not an "American exceptionalist". Our country is a big, beautiful country with a varied population. It's probably the only couintry that could elect a minority such as Barak Obama. He patently does not appreciate this, and is ingrateful.

He does not deserve to be President; we do not deserve him.

If the average American is concerned mostly with himself and his few closest friends and relatives, then why does he deserve a president that cares about America?

This country has a horrible set of problems.

We have liberals who like communism/socialism.
We have those who are unions or employees with connections to government employment.
We have those that believe the government is there to give them benefits (as long as THEIR wallets aren't tapped).
We have many young or uneducated ignorant voters.
We had some stupid people who also thought voting a person in because he was black would be OK because we never had a black guy. They never looked into his background as a racist, radical and so forth.

Lots of bad things got us Obama and other bad politicians.

The dumbing down of expectations and education in media and the schools is also a big reason and problem.

The average American doesn’t deserve to live in America, but by God’s grace we do. Thanks to our founding fathers and our fighting men and women. Maybe we don’t deserve better than Obama, but they do.

You said the words that I have been trying to come up with to express my total disgust with the current squatter that is soling the people’s house with his undeserved and unearned presents.

I never in my lifetime, 71 years, believed that there would ever be a more corrupt, lying and worthless person being the head of the most wonderful nation in the world.

The only ones that he has not stabbed in the back are his wife and children, yet.

Our country deserves a President who thinks his country is the best country in the world.

Perfect.

Amazing we even have to think about this, isn't it?

Thanks for both of your kind words. I must say the picture I linked in and the words contained there are not mine; the preface is.

Though politically I am a liberal I love my country. I am a Jew; if it were not for the U.S. I wouldn't be typing out this message. We were exterminated in Europe.

I want an American President, not a champion of some bogus "New World order".

When we have almost half the population that is anti-American enough, or dumb enough, to elect an idiot like Obama and the other half sits by and lets anti-Americans dismantle the country while doing nothing, do we really "deserve" anything?

I'll tell you right now: the future of this country has nothing to do with what we "deserve". That is an entitlement attitude. The future of this country depends solely on what we make happen. So, if people want to throw up their hands in despair and wait for God to bail us out, then the country will fall. If people want to sit back and do nothing but whine, the country will fall. If people want to hold on to the delusional belief that we will return to the true United States of America with anything less than dirty, bloody, revolution, then the United States will fall. It's up to us.

I believe in "doing something". I do not believe in violence.

Our country deserves a President instead of a usurper illegally occupying the Oval office.

Obama isn’t the long term core of the problem.

Someday he will be gone from office but the brain dead, the racists, the socialists, the self-loathers and the America-Haters that put him in office will still be here to poison the country again and again.

The President must love this country. He doesn’t think it deserves Obama.

Well, you go with what you believe. That's the ultimate point of life. however, keep in mind that if the Founders of this country didn't believe in violence, we'd still be British subjects.

Good point. And it is true that history is written by the victors. I think we made a serious mistake in electing Obama, let's make no mistake. I did not vote for him. I voted for Reagan in 1984, Bush in 1988, Bush II in 2004, and McCain even though I am a liberal Democrat.

Our country does provide for methods of peaceably changing the government. Let's start with the 2010 elections and go on to win in 2012.

The US military turned things around in Iraq because they eventually got the right number of forces on the ground with The Surge, and they had the right rules of engagement.

Things aren't going so well right now in Afghanistan. We may be on our way to getting the right number of troops there, but there seem to be serious problems with the rules of engagement.

There are definitely enough good Americans to see that the US can get out of this mess and have a solid future. However, we are constantly being hamstrung by our government. The rules of engagement in the US are wrong. We can't protect our borders. We can't even get the police to do their job and identify lawbreakers. We have to waste time fighting over the obvious (gay marriage, mosque, etc.) while massive waste, fraud, and abuse continue unabated.

I am somewhat pessimistic unless we can truly regain control of our government. And that doesn't mean re-electing Republicans if they're just going to be Tom Delays to the Democrats Rangels.

You might wish to read Eric Hoffer. No two mass movements are alike. Our Founders revolted when their standard of living was demonstrably better than the average Englishman in England. At the other end, impoverished and abused Russian peasants had no interest in revolution. Resistance to abusive government is not straightforward. For now at least, we still have the ballot.
