Does America Have a Muslim Problem? (Barf Alert - MSM declares US "Islamophobic)
Time ^ | 8/19/2010 | Bobby Ghosh

You don't have to be prejudiced against Islam to believe, as many Americans do, that the area around Ground Zero is a sacred place. But sadly, in an election season, such sentiments have been stoked into a political issue. As the debate has grown more heated, Park51, as the proposed Muslim cultural center and mosque two blocks from Ground Zero is called, has become a litmus test for everything from private-property rights to religious tolerance. But it is plain that many of Park51's opponents are motivated by deep-seated Islamophobia.

[....]

Although the American strain of Islamophobia lacks some of the traditional elements of religious persecution — there's no sign that violence against Muslims is on the rise, for instance — there's plenty of anecdotal evidence that hate speech against Muslims and Islam is growing both more widespread and more heated.

[....]

Islamophobia in the U.S. doesn't approach levels seen in other countries where Muslims are in a minority. But to be a Muslim in America now is to endure slings and arrows against your faith — not just in the schoolyard and the office but also outside your place of worship and in the public square, where some of the country's most powerful mainstream religious and political leaders unthinkingly (or worse, deliberately) conflate Islam with terrorism and savagery.

We know that communism and Islam just do not work and the Wests system and philosophy has allowed great progress.

If the Constitution and Islam cannot co-exist, there is a historical parallel.

The United States (and Western culture) could not co-exist with Native America (and its culture). One had individual property rights as its foundation. The other did not recognize individual property rights.

Such a fundamental difference meant the two cultures could not share the same land (or continent). One had to prevail over the other.

It wasn't a question of right or wrong -- it was a matter of irreconcilable differences.

Sure, we committed atrocities against the Indians and they committed atrocities against us (and before us, each other). But that's aside from the main point -- there was no way our two societies could co-exist.

The same is true today. Islam cannot co-exist with Western culture. Somebody will have to win, somebody will have to lose -- or reform themselves.

Islamophobia is the correct response to the insanity of a benighted religious and political ‘movement’ that is diametrically opposed to western civilization.

I wonder about "phobias". It is generally believed they are based on "false fear". Do you suppose, if this fellow knew what had happened, that he would be Islamophobic?

When "they" tell us it's all "in our minds" ... this is the picture that comes to my mind. Muslim Terrorists caused this. Should I be afraid? Should I hate? If there is not SOME emotion that comes forward then I too am dead. We didn't bring this on ourselves as a self-imposed paranoia ... it is REAL ... ask the poor fellow in the picture.

But "They" would have me believe it is a false fear, based on ill-conceived notions within my own head. Sorry, I don't buy it. These people are a dangerous problem until they prove otherwise. I see no proof. They believe in an eye for an eye ... no problem, no Church 2 blocks from Mecca, no Mosque 2 blocks from ground zero. Time to start interfacing with them with THEIR interface not some "goody-two-shoes-love-and-world=peace" ideas our local libs dream up as they light up, gaze heavenward and sip their Starbucks.

I'm not afraid of snakes, so no Ophidiophobia, but I DO wear snake boots. Is this out of fear or hate ... no, it is because I "ready" for the snake to bite, and given the chance, it will. The main differences being that between fear, hate and preparedness. I don't think "being aware" and "being prepared" are phobias ... they are a part of self-survival. If you are not "Islamophobic" after 911, then you have are much larger psychological problem. Time to buckle up the Islamic snake boots folks, they're comin' ...

The war needs to be open and declared.

Quite right. However, that will not happen. The rat/lib/media/government complex work together to our destruction.

NO they said before I ever voiced an opinion. They have 2 small children to raise here and dont think a mosque at ground zero will sew good seeds toward their children. They worry about there kids being disliked in school(that sort of thing). The husband is Iranian(manages apartments) and the wife(in nursing school) is a convert.

I’ve long held that the 1965 immigration bill brought forth by Ted Kennedy may have been the single most destructive bill out of Congress in well over 50 years.

Teddy Kennedy was the author of a lot of destructive legislation. Much of it was associated with immigration (let's not forget McCain-Kennedy, the "amnesty" bill).

For some insane reason, Teddy thought we would be a better country if only there were more unassimilatable, uneducated and unskilled poor people -- who would vote Democrat, of course.

There are two reasons for Islamophobia:

1. History

2. The present

I think there are millions of decent Muslims; they may even be a majority. But the religion as such is at war with us. Islam seeks total domination of the entire world.

America has a media problem. Having disdain for Islam is an assurance of our survival.

Its codified and mandated in sharia, .their one world government is called a caliphate. Whenever/wherever they set up, sharia comes with it as an integral form, thus wherever they set up they are bringing their government for installation. Thus it is they are here to install their government, supreme to that of the US of A.

Their goal is to supplant and replace. There were laws once of sedition which covered this exact thing. It seems that everyone has conveniently forgotten them in favor of the destruction of the US of A.

No Muslim NONE ..should be here unless they converted to Christianity.

Do you have a particular type of Christianity in mind?

I'm not a fan of the muslim religion, but I don't want to live in a country where we have that kind of mindset that the only ones here should be Christians, because first of all, it's the same mindset that muslims have. Having been stationed in Saudi Arabia, it was ridiculous how much they wanted to make sure we didn't publicly display anything having to do with our Christian beliefs.

Second, if we get in that mindset of only allowing one brand of religion, then somebody will get the bright idea that there is only one particular type or way that one religion should be practiced. Next thing you know, the Catholics, Baptists, Mormons, Lutherans, and the rest will all be fighting over what is proper and what isn't.

Third, this country was partly founded by Christians trying to get away from being told how to worship. It would be really bad if we get in this mindset of having religion dictated to us. It's already bad enough that we have morons trying to inject more religion into the schools so that their particular way is taught to our kids, rather than leaving religious education to the parents and their churches and private religious schools.

I understand where you are coming from - I have no love for their religion. Having seen Saudis trying to suppress religion first hand, I want us to never engage in that in this country, because I believe we are better than that, and that we should choose to practice what we believe, and not what the government thinks we should believe.

Fine then you do not have a right to practice Islam here it is about achieving domination, control, Politics, and Judicial systems! Completely opposite of our western culture..
