Does America Have a Muslim Problem? (Barf Alert - MSM declares US "Islamophobic)
Time ^ | 8/19/2010 | Bobby Ghosh

You don't have to be prejudiced against Islam to believe, as many Americans do, that the area around Ground Zero is a sacred place. But sadly, in an election season, such sentiments have been stoked into a political issue. As the debate has grown more heated, Park51, as the proposed Muslim cultural center and mosque two blocks from Ground Zero is called, has become a litmus test for everything from private-property rights to religious tolerance. But it is plain that many of Park51's opponents are motivated by deep-seated Islamophobia.

[....]

Although the American strain of Islamophobia lacks some of the traditional elements of religious persecution — there's no sign that violence against Muslims is on the rise, for instance — there's plenty of anecdotal evidence that hate speech against Muslims and Islam is growing both more widespread and more heated.

[....]

Islamophobia in the U.S. doesn't approach levels seen in other countries where Muslims are in a minority. But to be a Muslim in America now is to endure slings and arrows against your faith — not just in the schoolyard and the office but also outside your place of worship and in the public square, where some of the country's most powerful mainstream religious and political leaders unthinkingly (or worse, deliberately) conflate Islam with terrorism and savagery.

Hey Bobby, everywhere there are Muslims and there is no Muslim control of the government, there are problems.

Muslims ARE the problem.

I am glad you should point that out.

I once sat with a bunch of illiterate Africans who marveled in the advancement of the “west”. I was quick to jump on it and point out something very interesting to even the muslims in the group. That being the common thread to the west was freedom a gift from God and Christianity. This is what led into the Industrial revolution that gave a quantum leap to western civilization and bout then the birth of the US of A. Since then, on a relative basis and in contrast, islam has sat backwards and effed up. Wherever islam lives, you have third world conditions plus warring and fighting.
My summary statement was that in order for those nations to progress, they had to get rid of the things that hold them down, primarily their religion.

I believe that the islamics too are bitter about islams failure in progress and they too sense the need to change but do not want to publicly admit their failings.

Somewheres between us and the satanic verses a moderate point lives. We know that communism and Islam just do not work and the Wests system and philosophy has allowed great progress. Ask the Chinese, their philosophers will hang it right on Christianity.

Does America Turkey Have a Muslim Problem? (Barf Alert - MSM declares US Turkey "Islamophobic)

32 percent to 38 percent of the citizens of Turkey (99.9% Muslim) say that they will not tolerate Islamism (Political Islam, Sharia).

But when we say it we're bigots.. go figure.

Does Islam have an “Infidel” problem?

Else why do they want to celebrate “victory” over the Great Satan? Why do they push for Sharia Law?

The Time article admits it’s sacred ground. So case closed. you don’t open an inflammatory center on sacred ground.

“If the Constitution is in fact not a suicide pact, why cannot a nation protect itself against perceived threats from a race or a creed by excluding them?”

I’ve long held that the 1965 immigration bill brought forth by Ted Kennedy may have been the single most destructive bill out of Congress in well over 50 years.

“Muslims ARE the problem.”

And we KNOW what the solution to the problem is, don’t we?

“If you’re not afraid of Islam you’re not paying attention.”

We should have no more fear of them than any other adversary; they are finite and they can be killed. They’ll even help. The war needs to be open and declared. That is what should really be the fear; not of them but of our own willingness to concede to them.

Islamaphobic would insinuate a fear of Islam ... I don’t fear them ... I hate them and everything they stand for and wish we were at war with them openly and heavily.

Me too

We should have no more fear of them than any other adversary; they are finite and they can be killed.

1.4 billion people is a finite number but a very large one.

They’ll even help.

I wish they would.

The war needs to be open and declared. That is what should really be the fear; not of them but of our own willingness to concede to them.

Therein lies a big problem.

I don't recommend irrational fear but all war should be feared.

From the link:

***There is no such thing as a separate secular authority or secular law under doctrinal Shariah, since religion and state are not distinct, but are one.***

So, YES, the mosque which they want to build at Ground Zero is a GOVERNMENT which is forbidden by our Constitution.

Right. The way I see it a good President can fix a lot of this mess in about 10 minutes. The key will be to survive the next 2 and a half years.
