Support for incumbent Democratic Senator Blanche Lincoln has now fallen to its lowest level yet as Republican John Boozman remains on track to shift Arkansas’ Senate seat to the GOP column.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Arkansas shows Boozman capturing 65% of the vote, while Lincoln earns 27% support. Four percent (4%) like some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) are not sure.

Don’t worry, Gallup or Pew will come out with a poll tomorrow showing Lincoln with a 5% lead over Boozman, cause you know all those other polls are biased.</sarcasm>
well i think boozman will win by that margin but we need help in the 4th didtrict to get mike ross out and BETH ANN RANKIN voted in ROSS voted to keep the health bill going then voted against it but if not for him it would have never been voted on to pass

For an incumbat to lose by these percentages without a scandal on their personal record is astronomically huge.................
This is looking like the Al Greene-Jim DeMint race, that would be fun for Lincoln to have to challenge Greene for worst loser.
A very nice poll result, but NEVER underestimate the spineless stupidity of republicans or the criminality of the left.
If this is anywhere near accurate, Lincoln will retire prior to the election rather than have those numbers in the history book.
Or be forced out by the DNC and someone else put on the ballot regardless of the law, like they did in NJ.
It is VERY rare for an incumbent to see the race “lean” this strongly against without a major scandal - Larry Craig could have done it in Idaho 2008, but chose to spend more time with his family (with total strangers?) instead of running for office. I hope Blanche has plenty to keep her busy in her new life, starting January 2011.
The more interesting point is that Blanche did nothing terribly wrong (other than being a Democrat) to get to this point, and that she’s relatively conservative as today’s Democrats go.

Faced with a tsunami of emails and phone calls from her constituents, Lincoln "the final Democratic holdout", said she would go along with the rest of her party and then cast the deciding vote to pass the unpopular Health Care Reform Bill. Arkansan's were furious with her and vowed revenge.
I don't know why this poll comes as a surprise to anyone, including Blanche Lincoln.

I live in Arkansas. Most of the posters on this thread do not. I know Arkansas politics. While we may not have the corruption of Illinois or Louisiana or New Jersey, etc., ballot box stuffing will be minimal.
That said, this WILL be a tight race come election night.
And, please...don’t get derogatory with me if you’re not from Arkansas. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
