NYT and WaPo circle the wagons

Obama’s in trouble. Whether it’s the economy or the oil spill or the Ground Zero Caring Sharing Togetherness Mosque or whatever else that’s gone wrong for him, his approval ratings are drooping like a 49-year-old man’s pecs. More and more Americans are wondering why they voted for this guy. More and more Americans are getting fed up with the way things are going. More and more Americans are flipping their calendars to November 2010 and 2012 and marking the dates. You’ll never guess whose fault that is!

Americans need only stand in line at the grocery checkout counter to glimpse the conspiracy theories percolating about President Obama. “Birthplace Cover-Up,” screams the current issue of the racy tabloid Globe. “Obama’s Secret Life Exposed!”

The article claims, without proof, that Mr. Obama uses a phony Social Security number as “part of an elaborate scheme to conceal that he is not a natural-born U.S. citizen…”

Have any other U.S. presidents ever appeared in tabloids? Did the New York Times do stories about it when those presidents’ approval ratings fell? The NYT then cites a poll saying that 18 percent of Americans think Obama’s a Muslim. Which is ridiculous, because we all know he spent 20 years in a church where he didn’t hear a single thing the preacher said.

Personally, I don’t think Obama has any real religious beliefs at all, because that would entail believing in a power higher than himself. But some people think he does, and apparently that explains why his popularity is fading. Although if that’s the case, it doesn’t explain how he got elected in the first place. But these are questions for people who aren’t as smart as the staff of the New York Times.

Here’s the lede of WaPo’s take on the “You Are Too Dumb to Appreciate Obama” story:

The number of Americans who believe — wrongly — that President Obama is a Muslim has increased significantly since his inauguration and now account for nearly 20 percent of the nation’s population.

The key there is the “wrongly.” Gotta set it apart with em dashes, even! You can almost taste the indignation. I’m surprised they didn’t use bold, italics, and all caps as well. “WRONGLY!!”

I don’t blame the news industry for trying to protect their considerable emotional investment in Obama. I understand their pain, their frustration with the common folk and their rustic notions.

The question is… how is it supposed to sell newspapers? P.S. Matt Welch: “Wait, the Economy Is Lousy and Obama Is Unpopular? How Could That Ever Be?”

P.P.S. Chuck Todd: “The big irony of this story: President Obama is more religious than Reagan or H.W. Bush ever was; in fact, he gets Bible verses sent to his blackberry EVERY DAY.” Excellent point. I’ll bet those two didn’t even HAVE Blackberries!

Yes, lets define Obama.No misconceptions either.

DEHUMANIZING TRADITIONAL AMERICA, THE OBAMA GOAL

That makes no difference to the national socialist elite in power, they want to cow America with their Utopia. The former needless genocidal 9/11 sacrifice of 3800 innocent lives is trumped by “ minority rights.” This is just the beginning if Obama and his national socialist junta is allowed to stay in power. People in general should make no mistake about it.

The dehumanization of the 9/11 victims is the goal Obama has.Once this is accomplished, the sky is the limit for this sort of thing.He means to define who is humanand who is not. And then we are to watch silently as Obama’s plan to isolate and disempower middle America socially , politically and economically accelerates. Dehumanization of sectors of society is a major fascist technique. So far he has dehumanized many, including the Fort Hood shooting victims, as the sanctity of Muslims is preserved in our military over the necessity for American justice and the future protection of our military personell.

On a parallel matter, Obama is redistricting America as we speak, using the 2010 census. The defining parameters will be to cloister racial and ethnic minorites into their own Congressional constituncies. Subsequently the plan is to pit that block of racial and ethnic minority voters against the rest of America. The “ minority rights” aspect of this mosque argument will then be applied to budgeting. Special federal programs to provide “historical justice “ for the so called ‘exploited” will be put in place. Using fannie / freddie for affirmative action lending nearly destroyed our nation and the world economy, and now Obama wants to remake Fannie /Freddie? You can imagine the image in which he will remake these bogus institutions, even Barney Frank is bailing.

There is a very large comprehensive plan, and the mosque right now is the icon on a much larger political battle front. America is kept ignorant of this larger battle. The Obama Utopia is a cultural mosaic, not a melting pot, and he is quietly going about this redefinition of America which will now be rammed down our throats , using his executive powers, the Supreme Court, and a cowed Congress.

Obama will not unite America, he intends to divide it and conquer it, and will use force to do so if he thinks it necessary.Thats why he manifests a burgeoning Secret Service personal security plan which now freezes our municipalities as he travels about our nation.Its a message, part of his campaign to cow America into submission.

This mosque must not be built, if it is, it will likely be destroyed. As Rush Limbaugh says, can one imagine building a Shinto Temple adjacent to the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, 10 years after it happened there?

The Washington Post and the New York Times have ALWAYS believed that the American public is stupid .

Nothing new here. These organizations have always believed in an elite (people like themselves) that should run the country. I grew up with liberals who are cut from the same cloth. These are people who couldn't unclog a drain, tune an engine, bake a cake or paint a wall, but they are certain that they know how to run the country and the world for that matter. Most of those who graduated from Journalism school could not have made it in Science or Engineering but they know how to solve the countries energy problems and are certain they are in the right insofar as AGW is concerned.

These people aren't just stupid, they are dangerous.

You want names? I'll give you names: Thomas Friedman, Maureen Dowd, Paul Krugman, David Broder, Kathleen Parker, and too many other idiots, etc.
