Gay-rights activists seducing conservatives
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 18, 2010 | David Kupelian

It caused Sean Hannity to pull out of last February's Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., where he had been slated to appear as keynote speaker. When Hannity withdrew from the CPAC lineup, Glenn Beck stepped in. (Though this has not been previously reported, my source is highly placed and utterly reliable.)

It was also a big reason Gov. Sarah Palin opted not to speak at CPAC, long the nation's largest and most influential annual gathering of conservatives.

It caused WorldNetDaily, as well as major conservative institutions like Liberty University, to drop their planned sponsorship of the event.

"It" … is GOProud, the homosexual activist organization masquerading as a "traditional conservative" group, whose acceptance as official sponsor of CPAC caused many traditionally minded individuals and groups to pull out – on principle. GOProud is being embraced by many big-tent Republicans, ever-hoping they'll win elections and power by compromising on the core values that underpin a free America.

Yesterday, "it" caused WorldNetDaily to drop conservative superstar Ann Coulter from the speaker lineup of WND's upcoming "Taking America Back" conference in Miami. Why? Because Coulter is scheduled to be the much-ballyhooed keynote speaker at GOProud's big "HOMOCON 2010" bash next month. Although WND warned Coulter repeatedly that she would be giving major legitimacy to what is really a gay-activist group and its subversive agenda, and that if she went ahead we would not in good conscience be able to feature her at our conference, she didn't relent and we were forced to disinvite her.

This group, GOProud, is once again nothing more than a militant homosexual front group. Special rights for homosexual behavior is not a Conservative issue.

Christopher Barron, GOProud Chairman of the Board: "We are a gay organization, we only work on gay issues, we have never claimed otherwise. My God people."

Ann Coulter is a controversialist who makes money from books and speaking fees - quite a bit of money, I'm sure.

The more controversy she causes, the more than people talk about her, the more books and tickets she will sell.

A lot of FReepers don't seem to realize that there are plenty of "professional conservatives" whose job is to separate the gullible from their money.

Ron Paul isn't the only hollow huckster on the circuit.

So Ann would agree to be the keynote speaker at a NAMBLA convention?

Queers will burn in Hell if they don’t repent and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation.

Every opportunity for a businesswoman needs to be weighed against its effect on the marketability of the brand.

That particular appearance would not just dilute the brand, but completely destroy it.

Exactly. She is destroyed as a conservative. Who would want to sit around listening to a fag hag?

Credibility is a very fragile and easily lost coin. Rick Santorum lost his when he supported Arlen "Scottish Law" Specter in the primaries against Pat Toomey a few years back. Looks like Ann decided to throw hers away by talking in front of the liberal conference.

May it ever be so. I like some of Ann's columns and books; but she always looked like a skinny skank to me.

There are fiscal conservatives and there are social conservatives. Some are both, some are only one or the other.

“oh yes it was because it was exposed as a democrat party infultration front.”

That’s right. I had totally forgotten. It turned out that the majority of their funding was from a rich homosexual liberal, Tim Gill (sp?). It would be interesting to know who is financially backing this new incarnation: GOProud.

Would you agree that there might be a third subgroup: constitutional conservatives?

It would necessarily overlap with both fiscal and social conservatives; but, in my mind, could remain distinct enough to represent a whole separate category.

Comments?

What I can’t understand is that this homosexual group GOProud seems to be very very small (less than 100 members?). Why would anyone pander to them and legitimize their special rights agenda? They are obviously using Ann to gain name recognition. I would venture a guess that there are more members of NAMBLA than GOProud.

Some are both, some are only one or the other.

Here's the trouble. Social conservatives have long been able to hold our noses and vote for a "fiscal only" conservative if necessary against a liberal democrat.

The same courtesy has NOT been extended to candidates who are both fiscal and social conservatives by the so-called fiscal-only conservative group. In fact, for them, being socially liberal is more important than being fiscally conservative.

These are the RINOs who fight harder against conservatives than against Democrats. You don't have to think to hard to come up with a few names.

It's high time to abandon these people. Without social conservative votes, they'll be lucky to get 20% in a general election.
