France has begun expelling approximately 700 Roma to Romania and Bulgaria on Thursday, AFP reported.
The first 79 Roma to participate in what has been termed a "voluntary return procedure" agreed to leave France on a flight headed for Bucharest later in the day. Another 132 Roma are expected to leave France for Romania this Friday.
Each adult to participate in the repatriation program is to receive 300 euros from the French government, and 100 euros for every minor that leaves the country.

Racism!/s
Until you’ve been to Europe and actually been around these guys...then you realize that they mostly exist to rob and steal from you. They teach their kids that it’s morally ok to do this....and you just sit there and wonder why the cops mess with them...but there’s never any evidence much and the amount they steal is always less than a couple hundred bucks. I think if they stole more than a thousand...they’d actually get into trouble with their rules.
-—I guess “gypsy” is no longer an acceptable term-—
racial profiling and racism?
Sounds a lot like the illegals who infest our country.
And here I thought Roma were tomatoes. People aren’t tomatoes. This is an outrage. /s
I was in Slovakia in 1988 and observed a horse and wagon being driven at full gallop down a street. It was a gypsy at the reins, my pen pal, whom I was visiting, so informed me. “They do anything they want,” she said.
I hate it when there's a new politically correct word that is meant to replace a word with long and accepted usage, like “gypsy”. I don't see the problem with “gypsy and in any case, anyone reading “Roma” is going to think “gypsy” anyway and may well, as I did, wonder what prompted the change and what stigma attaches to “gypsy”. Whatever stigma attaches to "gypsy" will immediately attach to "Roma", probably more so. You can bet on it.
I hate the smell of political correctness in the morning. It smells like ........ hypocrisy.
I suspect Germany will be doing the same now that FRance has broken through with deportations.
Some years ago, while in Germany, the ‘authorities’ swarm through the Frankfurt airport/train station and routed the Romas (gypsies) out of the facility.
Pickpocketing seemed to be their method of support causing all kinds of problems on the trains and in the waiting rooms.

Wonder if this would work with our *immigrant* problem?
So they are getting rid of a small blip of trouble while welcoming the huge stain of islam? When do they start deproting the real terrorists?
Quick! Somebody call...Cher!!
The Roma are as Indian as the Native Americans are Chinese. They are culturally unlike Indians.

Roma is much older than, “gypsy,” and the use of the word has nothing to do with political correctness. Nobody’s feelings are being considered, only intelligence using the correct word that applies to a people throughout their long history.
Do you know the Roma originally came from India? Do you know they were persecuted by the Germans in exactly the same way as the Jews. Perhaps you refer to Jews as “Kikes,” heh?
Hank
In France, the Roma. They park in a suburban neighborhood for a week or so just monitoring the comings and goings till they learn the best time to rob the houses. They poison the dogs, steal the pipes, the whole routine.
Municipalities routinely dig ditches round vacant lots to prevent those creeps from parking their trailers since once they’re installed they milk the place dry, all the women and kids show up at the city hall demanding welfare. They don’t use the toilets in their trailers, so they do their duty outside. It gets stinky. It’s a real drag. Kick’em out.
Yep, I guess Cher is in deep doo doo now.
Gypsies, tramps and thieves.
