Embattled radio talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger announced Tuesday she will not renew her contract that is up at the end of the year, telling CNN's "Larry King Live" she wants to "regain my First Amendment rights."

I’ll go out on a limb here and venture that she won’t be missed.
Well I hope she keeps publishing. Or signs a contract with another network. I love her advice.
How this is just... She was discussing the n-word, and said it, and talked about how blacks use it all the time, IIRC.
She’s on a low frequency radio station here in Atlanta. She made a big mistake when she left WSB for WGST around 2000 I believe. She’s OK if you care about issues with mother-in-laws etc....
The few times I listen to her, seem like a radio sponsored pity party. She did appeal to a certain demographic audience, otherwise she wouldn’t have stayed on the air as long as she did.
She has made hers and doesn’t have to take any abuse from anyone if she doesn’t want to.
Good for her, speaking truth to the commissariat.
I wonder how many have committed suicide because of her advice. I’ve always wondered how someone could feel so strongly about their opinion without hearing the other side of the story. People tend to paint their situation in their favor. That’s human nature.
Stopped listening to her back in 2002 when she actually said that she supported the idea of parents arranging marriages for their kids. I almost did a spit-take!
That, and her incessant bragging about her son.
The only time I heard her was when she was a local-local hostette on KFI back in the early 90s.
I wish my parents had arranged my first marriage. I married a woman I would hate and bought her a house. LOL
Her book, about the care and feeding of husbands was spot on.
Her show was annoying to me. She overtalked and belittled everyone.
I wish some male talk radio host had a pair like she does.
She is fearless unlike that little talking points fraud Hanity.
I noticed Beck took a little swipe at FR today.
Kind of made a joke about how some information here is not credible or out there.
Anyone else hear him?
Other than her belief that men should be economic slaves and her hypocrisy regarding telling your spouse whether you’ve had an affair, I didn’t mind her show even though it’s not my thing.
20 years ago, she did a local radio talk show in California, same format but she was much less conservative. She was on the same station as Rush so I would frequently hear part of her radio show.
Unfortunately one day my neighbor called discussing in detail her love life, her husband, her (bisexual) stripper boyfriend/babysitter and other things that made me feel very uncomfortable. She was a VERY friendly neighbor, thanks to Dr. Laura, I knew to stay well clear.
I can’t stand dr. Laura but 18-30 year olds have no business arranging marriages on “love” lust and feeling. The time for Daddy and Mommy to be the final say should come back.
“The time for Daddy and Mommy to be the final say should come back.”
What makes you think in this society, the parents are any more sane? I’m seeing 50 year old women sporting new tats and boyfriends and the men are obsessed with their toys and their Viagra fix.
