>>If you equate monetary success with intelligence, then I guess you havent been paying very close attention to the last 50 or 60 years of American culture. HL Mencken said it best: Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.<<
IOW you are a loser and she is a winner and your jealousy of her success is on your sleeve.
Understandable (if unenviable).
No. I just despise hypocrisy and the fact that she is an emotional mercenary. She is a parasite that feeds on stupid, needy people.
Just ask Alan Keyes.
You’re the one who brought up money - not me.
Amazing Race How post-racial was Obamas victory? Boston Review
Closer examination of exit polls points to a surprising conclusion. Obama won because of racebecause of his particular appeal among black voters, because of the changing political allegiances of Hispanics, and because he did not provoke a backlash among white voters.
Who voted for Obama? BBC
He won 95% of the black vote, compared to just 4% for Mr McCain.
I kinda think it was the last time that will happen

That explains why you listen to her — the gang of thugs who jump in your car or house and turn the dial to her broadcast and then chain you to the radio.
The point is that if someone like Charles voted for Zero because of skin color, it is not surprising to learn that skin color was a big motive for many black voters in 2008. After all, the Black Panther who was wielding a weapon in from of the polling place on election day made it clear that skin color was the issue du jour. And, I have no doubt that many non-black voters were similarly motivated by skin color to vote for Zero. The last two years have demonstrated how poor a decision can be when it is based on skin color.
For what it is worth, I voted against Zero, not because of his skin color, but because of his Marxism and because, given he is likely an illegal alien, I do not believe he is qualified to hold office.

Very few stupid people who are not sports stars make millions of dollars. If she is smart enough to make that kind of money and you are not, she is probably a lot smarter than you are.
Heck, her cat is probably smarter than you are. Mine was.
Thank God for Larry Elder and a few other Blacks of principle else it would have been 100%. And it was all about skin color
2 a : something that is falsely or delusively believed or propagated b : a persistent false psychotic belief regarding the self or persons or objects outside the self that is maintained despite indisputable evidence to the contrary
Mary C. Curtis needs a doctor. Big time.
Well, I never said she was perfect....no one is. She is extremely intelligent and I wouldn’t trust anyone who never had any hardships nor made mistakes in their life. The best way to learn in life is by making mistakes. Any parent and teacher knows that.
Those who have to work through difficult events and turn their lives around to become highly successful, are usually the wisest people I know.
Like I say, she has a vast amount of knowledge on child development. I’ve spent many years working in that area and her statements on the topic of children and their physical and emotional needs are right on the money.
The only people I know that hate her (and her advise) are feminists and homosexuals. It is because she points out their selfish behaviors which are detrimental to raising emotionally healthy and happy children. I’ve NEVER known her to be wrong about that subject but selfish, narcissistic people find her extremely offensive because she calls them out.
It’s like condemning the words of MLK which were brilliant but may have been plagerised and because he was a womanizer. So what? He was perfect at expressing the agony of the black experience in pre-civil rights for Blacks. Like I say, few people are perfect, but that has nothing to do with their areas where they are extremely talented and gifted. Dr. Laura is extremely gifted when it comes to explaining the needs of children. That is all I am saying.
I heard her rant. I agree with her. I also think it was a mistake to apologize.
Words like cracker, nigger, spic, wap, wetback, beaner, “fill-in-the-blank-with-your-favorite-insult” need a context to have any meaning at all. And I agreed with her context when she used the word.
She was trying to make a point about sensitivity. I like what Penn and teller say about sensitivity training. They say the “sensitive” should be given “insensitivity training” to toughen up.
Sticks and stones, and all that...
Perhaps she gives family advice based on her life experience. She may be estranged from people in her family because she is ‘walking the walk’ and they do not deserve her attention. From listening to her and reading her books, she does not claim to have been perfect in her life, but states truths she has learned that are painful and conflict with the feminazi teachings of today.
She talks tough because she has ‘been there, done that’. What she lacks in pc and touchy feely rhetoric she makes up for in honesty. I heard the transcript - she did not call the woman a nigger. She asked about the double standard we all know is there and used that word in her question.
Race didn’t hurt, but any Democrat would get the vast majority of the black vote.
