Mike Vanderboegh, "alleged leader of a merry band of Three Percenters"* has returned home after attending yesterday's Restore the Constitution Rally at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, in Greensboro, NC (Note a western rally also occurred in Capitan, NM).
Mike has posted his speech at Sipsey Street Irregulars. Reading it, I deeply regret I was not there to hear it delivered in person. There are lessons here, both historic and contemporary. There is also hope and inspiration.
I did not intend to do a post today at Gun Rights Examiner, so I don't have much more to write about this except to refer you to an account from the News & Record.

The “Doctrine” of the “three percenters” is exactly what I believe and profess. I suppose I am an “irregular” too....

I havent a clue as to Mikes biography, but the sipsey street page is usually full of good columns and the speech rocked...

You would do well to more thoroughly check out Vanderboegh. Suffice it to say that, while I was working on the OKC bombing, he was present in the background as a -- shall we say -- very questionable, shadowy figure with most suspicious connections...
Try googling "Vanderboegh +
- militia
- neo-nazi
- ADL
- CIA
- Minutemen
- "Alabama Minutemen"
- Morris Dees
- Kirk Lyons
- "John Doe Times"
- terrorism
- Etc, etc, etc...
Truly, I haven't figured the guy out -- even after a decade or more. He does have this going for him, though: the leftists hate him... ;-)
~~~~~~~~
Make up your own mind; just be aware that there is a lot more of Mike V "under the surface" than shows up in a single patriotic-sounding speech...
