Obama Hits 50 Percent Disapproval in Daily Gallup
Gallup Daily via Newsmax ^ | 8/16/2010

The percentage of Americans disapproving of how President Obama does his job hit an all-time high Monday, with half of all voters surveyed by the Gallup poll saying they disapprove.

The 50 percent mark was a jump from previous polls, which had showed Obama leveling off in the high 40s, according to Gallup’s daily tracking poll. The new high certainly doesn’t bode well for Democrats in the midterm elections. Though Obama isn’t running, he is the face of the party.

The news comes as Democrats weigh the fallout from President Obama’s remarks Friday night in support of the mosque being built near the site of the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. Forty-two percent told Gallup they approved of the president's job performance.

Obama just passed by me twenty minutes ago on Olympic Blvd.

There are three miles of road closed so he can do a fund raiser in Hancock Park.
There were almost no supporters in a three block range.

For a President passing by, this was a ghost town.

W E I R D!

It says they have been friends for years.

Would have loved to be a fly on the wall and hear Clinton say how badly Obama is screwing up and not faking moderacy like he did so well.

50%!!???

DISGUSTING!

It should, by this time, and what he has done to the country, be at no more than 20% approval.

This country is LONG GONE if you ask me, if that many people, for that long of a time, continue to suck on the government teat of socialism and stand by while we lose our freedoms, applauding it and nodding all the while.

I will tell all this:

If in 2010 the House and Senate are not totally swept clean with MASSIVE GOP super majorities in both houses, AND, Comrade Patrice Lumumba Obongo does not totally get his political clock cleaned in 2012 and does not lose along with a Democratic majority forestalled in either of the Houses, then the United States of America is over, finished, kaput!, finado, 終わりだ, and The American People will have made that final decision.

2010 and 2012 are the last chances for the Republic IMHO.

The Gallup Poll generic Congressional ballot now has the GOP at the highest level since Gallup started doing it in 1946! I was born 3 years earlier, and things were not better than that during that period, so the GOP is now stronger than in my entire 67 year long life. In those years the party leaders included Thomas Dewey and Bob Taft represented the extreme right.

Granted. However, so many Americans have such short memories and are often flipped so easily these days on emotions rather than facts (just look at the Idiot-of-a-Savior we got in 2008) that such a tremendous GOP lead could be reversed in just three short months. That is how fickle and changeable things are. I would not put it past the combined force of the Democrats allied with the Mass Media Complex (and of course Stupid Party RINO-type screw ups) to bring this about and amaze us all in November.

It took nearly four years, plus a financial disaster to elect Obama. The only way I see the Dems winning in eleven weeks is if unemployment gets below six percent or Obama fights and completes a major war before that. The only way he does that is by a full scale nuclear attack on Iran, and I just don’t see that happening.

Ras uses likely voters, Gallup uses registered voters, thus ignoring partisan voter enthusiasm.

Or martial law.

Don't count it out with these elitist buzzards so out of touch with The People, and actually, in a state of growingly abject HATRED of The People for standing up to their nonsense; the unwashed masses below, from their high and mighty, Obamist know-it-all perspective.

This will seal their fate if anything. Pride and arrogance, the likes of which have never been seen in the White House in our 230+ year history.

I do not think Martial Law would be an electoral winner, unless he actually tried to cancel elections, which I think is slightly less likely than nuclear war. It would, naturally, cause a Civil War, which, if you look at my homepage, would be an extraordinarily bad thing, since either way the Republic would cease to exist.

His approval rating is around 44 percent. Gallup is a Left-leaning Pollster. I put no confidence in them. Rasmussen is the most accurate.
