NEW YORK -- A Hamas leader says Muslims "have to build" a mosque near ground zero.
Mahmoud al-Zahar said Muslims "have to build everywhere" so that followers can pray, just like Christians and Jews build their places of worship.
Al-Zahar spoke Sunday on "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on WABC-AM. He is a co-founder of Hamas and its chief on the Gaza Strip.

Oh, he’ll be breaking ground on the Mecca Cathedral next week or so, won’t he? The one next to the Temple?

How many mosques are there in NYC now? I used to not really care about muslims one way or another. That changed on 9/11. I would be thrilled to see islam wiped out in America and the rest of the world, but especially America. If this mosque gets built, I hope and pray it doesn’t end well.

I thought this article was about our pres__ent.
But then again, I only read the headline.

The question arises, can a country extend Freedom of Religion to a religion that preaches and teaches the destruction of that country and all other religions?

Mahmoud al-Zahar has never met the young Harley Riding, Tattooed, Weight Lifting Laborer of the Local in that district.
My guess is this young lad will tell Mahmoud to kiss his royal (Italian, Irish or insert family lineage here) @$$ because the guys from his locals won't do it, and he won't say it in Mahmoud's native tongue either....

In a saner, less liberal era such a statement from such a source would be on its own reason enough for instant rejection of a Ground Zero mosque.

islam is more than a religion and people better wake up understand that !

Obama, Bloomberg, and HAMAS all agree! A mosque at ground zero is a great idea! Next, let’s re-erect Montezuma’s pyramid temple of the sun and we can cut out human hearts in Times Square to honor the Aztec heritage of illegal immigrants. Moral equivalence is so Obamatastic!

Your question is based on a false premise that islam is merely a religion. That is what the muzzies and their supporters would like you to believe. That couldn't be further from the truth. Islam is far more than a religion. It is a violent political ideology with its own laws and court system. Religion is only one component of islam and is used to impose islam on non muslim societies. Sharia laws are anathema to the U.S. Constitution. The two cannot coexist in the U.S. Allowing a mosque to be built at ground zero will be interpreted by the muzzies Americans are willing to sacrifice the Constitution for Sharia Law. It will only empower them.

My God doesn't care where you are when you pray.

Liberal Socialist engineering on display for all to see. Sucks don’t it! Liberals are insane. I think they relate best to the Muzzies that run around whipping themselves with cat-o-nine tails.
To: markomalley
Where will they find construction workers willing to work on such a building? I’ve seen an article on one guy that said he wouldn’t do it but the media isn’t addressing this issue at all. Has anyone heard anything else about this?
To: Man50D
There is no such thing as "merely a religion" (unless you are defining religion in the conventional sense of Christianity).
There is no reason why a religion cannot (as islam does) fully encompass political and military goals as well as the complete domination of all human activity.
All of the goals of Islam IMO are driven by its founding spirit, Allah (or as some know him, Lucifer/Satan/Shemyaza).

Historian Hugh Bicheno:
“It is illuminating to observe the reaction to the new Islamist threat by those in the West rendered bereft by the recent collapse of the Communist Caliphate. The otherwise incomprehensible solidarity of Western leftists with Islamists whose world-view is violently hostile to their own may stem from a common psychopathology - submissives need to submit.”
