Dear Republican Party:
Your moment is now.
This weekend, President Obama defended the right of Muslims to build a community center and mosque two short blocks from Ground Zero, despite cries of insensitivity from some New Yorkers and accusations of mischief from some pundits. This finally gives you an opportunity to add a powerful national-security cudgel to the message of economic woe you have been pushing as the midterm election approaches.
The political potency of the issue is obvious. Polls overwhelmingly show the President has put himself on the wrong side of public opinion. Opposition to the new facility arouses acute emotion and creates near total unity among relatives of 9/11 victims, first responders, Republican officeholders, potential 2012 presidential candidates, Tea Party members, the Fox Newstalk radioDrudge Report echo machine and many of the highly coveted swing and occasional voters whom you will need at the polls to win in November.

Mark Halperin....consider the source.
It’s time for the GOP to inform the public that
Islam in the US is seditious and to teach the reasons why.
Sure they are. They always do. They always have (I can attest personally.) That's why the media outlets always uses the same words as each other.
Remember that they believe that "if you own the language you own the people."
This latest talking point must be "no matter what our weakness is, tell the GOP they'd be stupid to exploit it."
Thank goodness they are so transparently obvious. We just ignore them and attack as effectively as we can.
Halperin’s a loser and will always be a loser.
We can be sure the necessary local permits would not be forthcoming, but are the applicable national laws preventing it.
Dear GOP,
Never take advice from Time magazine.
Obama supports
The Muslim Touchdown Dance Mosque.
What else do you need?
The fiction is that Islam is a religion, and as such it is entitled to protection under the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution. If you accept this fiction, then President Obama’s position makes perfect sense. It is better to tolerate Muslim mischief than to trash the Constitution.
But the fact is that Islam is not entitled to Constitutional protection, because it is a political system, not a religion. Islam does not call for the individual to submit himself to God, but rather to a temporal legal system defined by Islam. One can submit to this system as a believer, a dhimmi or as a slave. The important thing is that one submits. The fact that Islam does not particularly care how one submits is the dead give-away that it is not a religion at all.
This political system is incompatible with pluralistic Western democracy. Sharia Law and the Constitution cannot coexist, therefore it is ridiculous to assert that the Constitution protects Sharia Law.
To put it another way, the Christian Identity idiots running around in Idaho are trying to impose their political and racial philosophies on the United States. Even though their perverted ideology is based on a religious argument, they are not afforded any protections under the First Amendment. The government opposes them and arrests them, as well it should. They are not a religion, no matter how much they claim to be. They are a radical subversive political movement bent on the destruction of this country. It is the same with Islam.
We'll see. I doubt it.
Krauthammer beats Halperin like a drum.
>>One question. is Mark Halperin on the Journ-O-list list?
He’s not on BuckeyeTexan’s very useful list.

I think they should focus on the people behind the mosque. There is where the problems lie. It's not about worship. This is an "in your face, America" move supported by tax dollars and the POS in the WH.
These barbarians did not begin their Cordoba controversy while President Bush was in office and I question just when did they decide it was safe to begin this obscene gesture?
Nov 3, 2008??????
The GOP needs to carefully separate the real issues from the religious aspect and then attack with full force.
"Halperin wrote a memo that to many seems to direct ABC reporters, anchors and producers to slant its coverage by downplaying the misstatements of Democratic presidential candidate Senator John Kerry and by viewing negatively any misstatements by Republican candidate Bush."
I know if I were a leader in the Republican party, I’d sure follow this liberal piece of crap’s advice. (NOT)
Note to Time Magazine:
I believe that when the GOP or the Conservative Americans need you advice, we will be certain to give you a call. Until then why don’t you just STFU and disappear?
I was at the Bronx Zoo over the weekend, and I kept on running into this woman who had a T-shirt from an art exhibit at the Metropolitan. It had a signature of Fatih Sultan Mehmet on the front, and the year “1452” in four-inch high letters across the back.
I asked her if she had any idea who Fatih Sultan Mehmet was, or if she knew anything about the sack of Constantinople and the fall of the Byzantine Empire. She had no idea, at all. But she did have the T-shirt!
I guess the WH called up Time and begged them to please write and print this article.
Time had to really scramble to get this nonsense out.
Obama's benefactors in the muslim world know he's a muslim. In fact, his actions have announced that fact to the world over and over and over again!
Take a revisit to his brief "my muslim faith" video on youtube...in retrospect, he hasn't even really tried to hide the fact that he's a muslim.
