I disagree with Krauthammer’s idea of using the law to stop it. We should oppose the mosque. It is, however, their property. If they want to use it to show the American people what kind of religion Islam really is, then at least more people will realize what these muslims are really about. This mosque has changed the view of some of the more clueless of my acquaintances.

Good catch, thanks for the link. I saw Charlie Kraut's column in the dead-tree edition yesterday, and it's worth mentioning that he reversed a position he took years ago in favor of "free enterprise" along the way to the position he takes in this column, that the mosque should not be built.
In his earlier incarnation, Krauthammer had defended building a commercial mall right next to a Civil War national battlefield on grounds of property rights and freedom to do business. He recants in your linked article.
