Yes, children Sarah Palin really can become president of the United States.
Take a look at yesterday's CNN poll.
It shows Mitt Romney just three points ahead of Irish American Palin right before the kickoff for the 2012 republican nomination which begins the day after the November mid-terms.
That three points is within the margin of error.
It is also within the margin of error of those pundits who say that Palin has no chance to be selected.
They are dead wrong and this poll bears that out.
This poll says otherwise, as do a slew of results, including last week's primary in Colorado which showed the grassroots activists in the party are not going to settle for the status quo and whoever the head office is pushing.
That is bad news indeed, for Mitt Romney who is the anointed one.
He is a very skilled politician, who was an excellent governor of Massachusetts and did an amazing job with the Olympic Winter Games in his native Utah.
By right he should be the front runner.
But he's stuck in neutral, not ever drawing the kind of love from the grassroots that Palin can engender just by showing up.
Americans are mad as hell over what has happened to their economy and that throws the 2012 race wide open at this point.
Palin has a realistic shot if she decides to run.
Right now she'd be my favorite to win the Republican nomination.
I've written this before and now the CNN poll bears it out.
In this current deeply unsettled political climate President Palin is not far-fetched at all.
Remember you read it here.
Will do. And your pick IS?
Take that “ hate card “ and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine . I like her ; I do not think she is presidential material .
I want ONLY the down-home, ultimately trustworthy Sarah Palin. I’ll sight for her, politically and otherwise. To Hell with the “to-the-manor- born” hereditary aristocrat “Romney”, the “he” who beat even the Saracen Obama to socialized medicine in Mass.
I remember way back when, when Carter was POTUS, and trying to find someone to get behind to defeat him. I heard a lot of the speeches from the GOP'ers then, but someone stuck me really hard. I can't remember what speech it was, but it raised the hairs on my neck. It was...
Ronald Reagan
. I've heard Palin also. She's not an "Ivy Leaguer", she speaks like me. She lives her life like me. Her family is kinda like most American families.
Lots of folks bash her. I really don't know why.
I've heard her give a few speeches.
They raised the hair on my neck again.
I gotta little horse sense...It did me good last time.
“Mitt Romney who is the anointed one.”
Mitt is a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread.
When a politician is consistently 1, 2, or 3, in a close grouping of the frontrunners, then it is hardly koolaid drinking to consider them as just that, a serious contender.
Sure you do. That's why you show up on so many Palin threads spreading the "quitter" meme, and claiming that you don't want a candidate with "training wheels".
You dropped three anti-Palin posts on this very thread before I responded to you.
Yeah, you like Sarah, alright.
And your pick IS? (Are you still there?)
“... I can’t remember what speech it was, but it raised the hairs on my neck. It was...
Ronald Reagan.”
I was NEVER interested in politics.
But, I heard Reagan speaking once on tv.
He had an “angry black woman” asking him a question from the crowd, and she wouldn’t give him an opportunity to respond; she was so in love with the spotlight, she continued on, ad nauseum.
I heard him say to her: “Well, if YOU’LL SHUT UP, I’ll answer that for you.”
I’ve loved him ever since.
I think America needs a real person. Not pre-packaged.
“He must be rooting for his buddy, Newt, to run.’
Speaking of spectacularly unelectable candidates... :P
Me too, dtrpscout. I imagine that sending a person of Sarah Palin’s innate goodness would be akin to pouring a bottle of bleach into a pond full of scum, or like sunlight into a den of vampires. She is EXACTLY what Washington D.C. needs, in my opinion.
BINGO
Now that is an awesome, awesome pic!
And that video made me spit my drink :D
“Is there another Reagan out there?”
Yes, Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin.
excellent, i feel the same way.
all these folks who dont feel she is ‘presidential material’please show me this ‘material’ and what it entails.....
and then show me anyone who has that, for the conservative movement.....
Love her or hate her, she is amazing. She is the most powerful failed vice president candidate of all time, and her power keeps growing. Liberals are absolutely paralyzed by her, and she beats up Obama relentlessly.
The best thing John McCain has done in his entire life is unleash Sarah Palin on the world.
Didn't want to copy your whole post, but you really put voice to the one thing that causes so many Americans to respond so positively to Sarah Palin.
Like so many of us, she honestly loves America, and is a true believer in the promise of our founding construct. She believes America to be a force for good in this world, and is unabashedly proud of its people.
Like Reagan before her, her vision is unclouded, and her resolve to do everything in her power to drive this nation back to its natural course of greatness is unswerving.
This is why people like you and I support her. We see that she is the only person on our side who has her sterling qualities. If she asks, I will do everything I can to help her become the 45th president of the United States.
