American Socialists Release Names of 70 Congressional Democrats in Their Ranks

The Socialist Party of America announced in their October 2009 newsletter that 70 Congressional democrats currently belong to their caucus.
This admission was recently posted on Scribd.com:

Of the 70 members, 29 are members of the Congressional Black Conference, or 40%. There are 41 members of the CBC which means that 71% are members of the DSA.

No, I believe that the DSA would willingly publish all the names of congressional members. I think it is that some of the more politically estute or at risk commies have deliberately chosen not to join because of the inherent political risks.

You've got to wonder when Alcee Hastings and Bobby Scott are not members. And we all know that Nancy Pelugosi is a socialist. Frankly I'm surprised at the small number listed. I would have thought it was closer to 300 or 350.

Glad you asked. She resigned from the Congressional Progressive Caucus, an offshoot of the Democratic Socialist of America, upon becoming Speaker of the House.
