Texas is fighting back against the heavy hand of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). All Americans should be proud ofand other states should take note ofnot just the spirit but the technical arguments of the Lone Star revolt.
A recent letter to the EPA by both the states Attorney General and the Chairman of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality made it absolutely clear that the state is not going to comply with the EPAs regulations on the permitting of greenhouse gas emissions.

Beam me to Planet Gore !EPA: An unelected, flunky bureaucracy populated with radical, no-growth, Marxist, environmental nut-jobs wielding rogue powers based in junk science. A cancer on the private sector. Ultimately, the EPA is not about the environment. It is about legislating from the Executive Branch in Soviet Agency style. It has the convenient unconstitutional feature of allowing the Obama Administration to pursue an extreme global warming agenda, to make energy prices necessarily sky-rocket, and gain sweeping regulatory control over the US economy without a politically difficult vote in congress.

Let’s take the Lone Star Revolt even further - divorce Washington. Then we won’t have to put up with this.

Sooner or later, someone is going to have to just stand up and say “NO” to the Feds. Might as well be Texas, might as well be now.

There is nothing in the US Constitution that permits the federal govt to usurp the sovereignty of the state of texas in controlling its internal matters.
I for one urge out state officials to just ignore what the EPA says.
after all, what can the EPA do?
To: Need4Truth
The EPA could be eliminated and the states could deal with environmental issues on their own.

Amen! If they did, wouldn’t Arizona join in? Perhaps several other states? I’d rally to their support!

I like the Texas description for carbon dioxide:
a uniformly distributed trace, constituent of clean air, vital to all life, that is emitted by all productive activities on Earth.
It's time for the EPA and environmentalists to prove CO2 is a pollutant.

So....um....which concourse in DFW is the smoking lounge on?
Oh, yeah ... there isn’t one. Free, my tail.
You think those guys at the Alamo smoked?
What would they think of your little TX nanny-state?
I actually asked that of the “Airport Ambassador” at DFW this morning. He said, we don’t care, we will controll our neighbors all we want!
I hightailed it back to a free state - VA.
