The Increasingly Self-Pitying Obama White House
Commentary Magazine ^ | August 9, 2010 | Peter Wehner

SNIP...I’ll reserve final judgment until I read the entire piece. But based on these excerpts — which presumably reflect the thrust of the 10,000-word article — what is striking is the degree of self-pity we find in Obama’s advisers, which is reflected in the president’s words and attitude as well. Team Obama sounds nothing so much as overmatched and overwhelmed, unable to understand what has gone wrong, and increasingly bitter toward the nation’s capital and the pace and nature of politics.

Aww, I think they’re just gaming public opinion with the “poor pitiful me” rhetoric. People will swallow such excuses — up to a point.

Well, when your spirits are down, it’s time to go on vacation, and live it up!

I said on FR a long time ago, this guy was CLEARLY in over his head as LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD.

He cannot handle this job.

Thus the flubs, the greying hair, the increasing staff resignations, the over defensiveness and the multiple vacations.

And I said, he will not last one term.

And by that I mean either resignation or mental incapacitation due to nervous breakdown, and in a more remote sense, impeachment.

I still hold to it that it will be outgoing President Joe Biden we see up on the dais of the West Capitol in January 2013 as a new Republican president takes the oath of office. Obama will be watching either from a mental ward, or some village in Kenya. I don't wish that on anyone, of course. But that is just the way it is going to shake out, and, well, may the chips fall where they may and may God save our Republic.

Yep, and that “point” was Moochelles (Rush’s name) trip to Spain, and the Kenyan’s 50th round of golf. This A$$ Hat’s arrogance will be his undoing!

I pity the White House also - not the occupiers mind you, but the physical structure itself.

Team Obama sounds nothing so much as overmatched and overwhelmed, unable to understand what has gone wrong, and increasingly bitter toward the nation’s capital and the pace and nature of politics.

I happen to have a different view. I don't see Obozo as being overmatched and/or overwhelmed. Instead I believe he is working hard to achieve exactly what he's achieved thus far, and has plans to further weaken this nation to the point where we will be easy prey for those who wish to destroy this nation. Once the U.S. is taken out, the rest of the world will be easy pickings for Islam.

He cannot handle this job...Thus the flubs....the over defensiveness and the multiple vacations.

Along your lines, I saved this recently because it was to the point but forgot to note the author...was this your piece?

"In any setting, corporate, government, even social, when a person feels the need to constantly explain her/himself, they are expressing profound insecurity. A hero, a champion, a top performer simply preforms. There is no need for explanation because the results are apparent.

What we have from the man-child is an incessant need to explain to the public why he is so great and why what he has done so far has worked. If you have to explain it, then you have already lost.

Corollaries to Obama’s childish antics:

He argues constantly that his policies have worked and on the other hand, sometimes in the same sentence, he blames Bush or Republican or both for his policies not working.

He does not say plainly what he has done. He pleads. He begs you to believe him. This is a typical sign of a lie. If I ask where were you yesterday and you say, I was at the Mall. Ok That is the end of it. However, if you say, I was at the Mall. Really I was. I promise. I was there really. Then I have my doubts. If you have to ‘sell’ rather than ‘state’ a situation then there is a problem.

This is why he is never working. He is afraid of his job. Like an irresponsible child, he runs to what makes him ‘feel good’. In this case that would be carefully chosen adoring crowds and a fawning media. When he is at work, no matter who is in the room with him, no matter what the issue at hand, he is always the least qualified person in the room. Although his arrogance covers most of this, it eats at him. Eventually he needs another dose of adulation which he uses as a balm for his fragile and frightened ego.

Furthermore, when he is missing meetings and work while on a self-imposed junket across the nation, he gives himself, subliminally, an excuse for not attending all those meetings which intimidate him so much. Essentially, he is ‘running away’ in a very real sense. So no matter what decision is made, if the outcome is negative, he can always claim, I was out of town when they did that.

Obviously, in big-boy world this strategy can never work. But Obama has the mentality of a child and does not know that. In the end, he will be yelling, Why is everyone blaming me!? I was out of town when that happened.

Obama is a child. Eventually, we are all going to pay, Republican and Democrat, for putting this inexperienced, lazy, unqualified, rookie in charge of our country.

The sooner he is gone the better, not just for America, but for the whole world."

Good post, AIT! I’ve thought for a long time that Obama will be the first Prez to resign simply because he’s overwhelmed and tired of the job (corporate CEOs do it all the time; why should Presidents be any different?). Of course, the spin will be some touchy-feely liberal sob story. I’m betting on the Obamas wanting their children to live a “normal life.”

I remember the throngs of idiots cheering on as the “community-organizer”-in chief was sworn in. Maybe it would have been better if they elected someone who had some experience in economics instead of a Marxist wannabe...
