Victim in videotaped transit-tunnel beating found guilty in Edmonds robbery (Seattle bus tunnel)
The Seattle Times ^ | August 10, 2010 | Christine Clarridge

It took a Snohomish County Juvenile Court judge about 35 seconds Tuesday to decide he didn't believe Aiesha Steward-Baker's story.

After about two hours of testimony, Judge George N. Bowden convicted the 16-year-old of second-degree robbery, saying her testimony lacked credibility, and that she had lied either to police or to the court.

Either way, he said, he wasn't inclined to take her word over that of the victim, whose testimony he found "exceptionally credible."

Steward-Baker, whose videotaped beating in Seattle's downtown transit tunnel made headlines earlier this year, had been accused of attacking and robbing a 50-year-old Shoreline woman on an Edmonds street on May 23, 2009. A second girl who was accused of participating in the attack had earlier pleaded guilty and was sentenced to between 15 and 36 weeks in juvenile detention.

Sounds like a potential congressional black caucus member to me. She can apprentice under Maxime (felon) Waters, then graduate to Charlie (NoTax Rangle), then to the Obamaloon (never had a real job) himself.

Just so that there’s no confusion, the videotape shows the famous bus tunnel incident from February but today’s Seattle Times story refers to a 2009 robbery.
Right after the bus tunnel incident she and her family tried to portray herself as an entirely pure, law-abiding victim until some details about her feral, street-trash life began emerging.
Today’s conviction for her previous crime helps to remind us all that not everything is always as it originally seems.

I’ve visited Edmonds a couple of times. A nicer, prettier town I never did see. I guess you’re not safe anywhere anymore.

"Just so that there’s no confusion,...."

I am still confused. Is this the girl who did the beating or the girl who was beat up?

It's violent, feral street trash like this that so much of our law enforcement resources are expended upon, and they breed like rats.

In Seattle's ultra-PC environment, EVERYTHING is about race:

(from August 9, 2010)

City Council confirms Diaz as Seattle's new police chief

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2012579940_policechief10m.html

"In the weeks leading up to Monday's vote by the City Council, critics, especially in the African-American community, have assailed Diaz for failing to repair the strained relations between police and Seattle's black community, particularly after a highly publicized incident in which a white officer punched a black teenage jaywalker."

(edit)

"Some critics even said they will work with him........"

*************************************************

How incredibly gracious and magnanimous of his critics to deign to work with Seattle's Chief of Police..

Guilty girl (Aiesha Steward-Baker) was video taped in another unrelated beating. This time she was one of the attackers in a robbery.

She was beat up in the infamous videotaped 2010 Seattle bus tunnel incident, but she apparently did quite a bit of beating on the robbery victim in the 2009 Edmonds  incident for which she was convicted today.

I hope that this is clearer now :-)

I’ve visited Edmonds a couple of times. A nicer, prettier town I never did see. I guess you’re not safe anywhere anymore.

Indeed, it's quite lovely there and just like in so many other regions, Seattle's urban street trash will ride the buses to outlying communities and commit their crimes there.

Just incorporate your large firearm into your everyday wardrobe ensemble, maintain your concealed carry permit, train regularly with your weapon and keep abreast of all relevant laws pertaining to your own personal defense.  You didn't have anything else to do with your time, did you?

"sigh"

Oh I was confused. I thought it was the other way around and she was the beater in the Seattle incident.

Oh well...biggest thing on that video was the security guard non-response.

Indeed, it was the perceived callousness and utterly aloof and noncaring attitude of the 'security' guards which inflamed passions and caused the video to go viral worldwide.
