Those emergency slides aren’t cheap. Even if they re-use the slide, it has to be inspected, repacked, etc, all of which carries a premium.

So many people pack their bags and leave their brains behind when traveling. I have seen normally intelligent people not able to find their seats once on-board.
I’ll drive to just about any place that doesn’t require a swim. ;-)

I told the older TSA lady that this is about it for me. She said you can opt out but they frisk you. She was actually a nice woman.

It must have been a sight! Jet Blue is known to be fun and irreverent (kind of like Southwest) but this takes the cake!

One of the passengers was getting up as the plane was landing to get his bags. He told the guy to sit down and the person called him an MF’er. The guy snapped. I feel sorry for him. I have flown on Jet Blue and the crap that flies to NYC is filled with a lot of debris. The flight to Charlotte was much better.

He was correct that the passenger should not be trying to get a bag before the plane stops. Passengers are so horrible now a days. I especially can’t stand when the plane stops and everyone must get in line and then end up waiting 20 minutes until the door opens....what in the heck is the big hurry???? Anyway I also don’t believe there is a crime either. Maybe pushing the emergency door but the plane was stopped. Oh well I would not want to work for the airlines for a million dollars a year....no way, no how!!!
Article indicates he had a run in with a passenger who was trying to retrieve his bag from the overhead before the plane got to the gate. Against FAA regs. Apparently the passenger called the attendent a m-----f----r during the confrontation.
IMNSHO, the passenger is just as much at fault as the attendant.
