First Signs of Civil War begin in the US: Sheriff Tony DeMeo Threatens Force Against Federal Agents

It began with one Sheriff speaking with other Sheriffs about their oaths to uphold the constitution. A new movement is growing in this country in support of limited government, constitutional principles, states rights and a stronger role for sheriffs to play against federal abuse of power. In this 3-part video interview with Tony DeMeo, Sheriff of Nye County, Nevada, he explains that he is a Constitutional Sheriff and that authority for public office holders is derived from the people:

SNIP

In his own words Sheriff Tony DeMeo describes an incident where federal agents of the BLM threaten him with arrest while the Sheriff issues his own threats of an armed response if illegal seizures of private property in his county continue. Imagine if BLM authorities went ahead with their “normal” operations of seizing cattle found on public property in direct opposition to Sheriff Tony DeMeo warnings? We would witness a standoff with dire consequences.

Like I said a Sherrif has more power to stop the Feds than people realize. Most Sheriffs just do not exercise the power.

How about the County Jail instead.

I think nobama and his “intellectual” advisers are very fearful of pushing so hard as to ignite any real pushback because it will likely soon grow to a rout by the huge population of well armed and pissed patriots.

Instead, what could very well happen is some blacks taking all the dems racist talk as backing by the Gubmint, will start seemingly spontaneous attacks against unarmed whites (like the beer thief?). This will indeed spark a race war which will cost the dems and their black supporters dearly. Nobama will no doubt try to insert the military, whose leaders will advise the President for his safety he should resign and take up exile.

In the end it could be possible for sounder minds within the black community to prevail over the race-baiters like nobama and jackson and the lawless gang-banger mentality and finally offer their people a path toward their betterment, which had been interrupted by the likes of FDR and LBJ.

Yep, too bad we don't have more like Arpaio and De Meo

Our sheriff here in Clark County advocates seizing firearms in time of "emergencies", hopefully he'll be voted out this November though his replacement probably wouldn't be much better.

Clark County is the cesspool of Nevada, I can't wait to get out of here.

There were countless threads like this (domestically jingoistic) during the Clinton administration. I expect about the same results.

I am probably more inclined to agree with you here, but at the same time, it is very heartening when you hear of the individual efforts such as these. I've been on this board over ten years now. The only other thing to keep me occupied for longer than that was my first wife.

Being a member since the Clinton years, I've heard a lot of chest beating. At the same time, however, the actions of many on here bear witness to the dedication and love of country that the membership has. In particular, I remember the dedication of the FReepers that stood outside the White House every weekend for as long as it took.

Very interesting take. Oblama could actually lead us to a post-racial society by inciting a racist atmosphere. Like when my Dad taught me to not smoke by forcing me to smoke a whole pack in one sitting.
I’ve thought many times that I was probably wrong about Oblama being a divider. He has probably done more to unite Americans/Patriots than any foreign enemy could. To his own misfortune, I believe.

While I remind you the gun is worthless against a foe so large and powerful as this without the organization of the State. The truth is it doesn’t really matter how the election turns out. Washington D.C. will not give up power significantly or easily.

We must focus on taking control of State and local governments. They and they alone hold the real practical keys long term victory.

Keep in mind this may not be possible in many state given the way our elections have been corrupted by means of easy fraud but every state is different and some states are less advanced in the electioneering then others.

We will have to take what we can and uses it to make a stand and set an example. let the contrast between the states that embrace liberty and capitalism (economic liberty) and those that embrace totalitarian state control(socialism) be bright and stark.

Let us show them who they are by not being a refection of their evil but rather standing a part brilliantly.

Let the people see the true difference tested and judged by the laws of nature not government. and let them people vote between us not only with their ballots but their feet.

The question that every candidate/elected official, should be asked is about the 9th/10th Amendment. If they can't quote it verbatim, tell them they won't get your vote. They need to know why we have the 2nd amendment, and it ain't to hunt deer. If we didn't have 300 million guns in this country, we would already be Cuba. I have a my “collection” and hope to never use it in anger, but it's there anyway.

If you read what is specifically enumerated in the Constitution, it makes it mind boggling to think we have a $2 trillion government. Most of what they take our money for is illegal by the Constitution. And if that is true, what the hell are we paying State legislators for?

Everyone calm down, you are missing a step in the process, that is formal secession. War comes when the feds either decide to deal with sovereign states as equals or squash a “rebellion”. First things first.

Good evening. Check this thread out. I hope people who comment on this thread understand the concept of being bombed and shot at. Me, I don't particularly like being shot at or bombed.

Then again, if a push comes to a shove, well, I'm still in good enough shape to hump ammo, and hit a target at 500m.

Interesting times we live in, huh?

I hope you and your beautiful wife are doing well. The First lady says "hi."

>>Who’s planning on being civil?<<

The War of Yankee Agression was SUPPOSED to be a civil war. Trouble is nobody told Grant, Sherman or Sheridan.

Next time it will be a war like Daniel Morgan, Francis Marion and John Singleton Mosby fought.

“Never once did this country come close to “civil war”. You can only say we came close if you’re easily impressed by loudmouths with anonymity publicly vouching of their courage.”

Agree completely.

I can still hump in full pack a few miles at a time also. I say better to fight and possible die on my feet than to continue to live in the faux republic on my knees, I wake up with this BS on my mind, go to bed with it on my mind. I'd rather be taking incoming knowing I am standing up than lying down to the f-ing Marxists/statists. Yeah, I am at that point.

Sounds like textbook mental illness to me.
