It began with one Sheriff speaking with other Sheriffs about their oaths to uphold the constitution. A new movement is growing in this country in support of limited government, constitutional principles, states rights and a stronger role for sheriffs to play against federal abuse of power. In this 3-part video interview with Tony DeMeo, Sheriff of Nye County, Nevada, he explains that he is a Constitutional Sheriff and that authority for public office holders is derived from the people:
SNIP
In his own words Sheriff Tony DeMeo describes an incident where federal agents of the BLM threaten him with arrest while the Sheriff issues his own threats of an armed response if illegal seizures of private property in his county continue. Imagine if BLM authorities went ahead with their normal operations of seizing cattle found on public property in direct opposition to Sheriff Tony DeMeo warnings? We would witness a standoff with dire consequences.

I know how, before you go to bed, you start the download and see it in the morning. I have been there and done that since 95, finally got 1 meg DSL out here in the boonies this year.
It is worth it, chilling!
Can’t say what will happen, but if there ever is a civil war, this war will be unique in the history of the planet. The people will not be fighting to create a new constitution and government, but will be fighting to restore the original one. It is my view that there has indeed been a civil war to change the constitution to something else for decades. It is a war without guns, and has been happening very very slowly with incrementalism...where you get one law or judge, the people will have a low level reaction, but will get used to it until they take the next step, where there will again be low level reaction, but once again complacency. Little steps add up over time. Frog in the kettle.
If the States fight this war like they did the “Civil war” and the American revolution it will not be like the French revolution as the States all posses a system of law and order that protects individual and equal rights.
If the mob fights it like they did in France then you will have a French type of revolution. Given the gigantic size of the Federal government and the vast geographic and popular size of the union.
I can’t imagine a popular mob revolt such as took place in France being effective much less successful. The tyrants would have time to organize a formal army and invade and crush the rioting areas before they could possibly over take the whole base of the Government denying them that capability.
So really unless the States fight this war there will be nothing but a bloody massacre by the organized troops of government against the disorganized rioting mobs of the people.
Realisticly in a sittuation like this the sheirf and by extention local town should be seeking to sue for a compromise and make a point in the drama. That is IF they catch the power hungry attention of big government.
Preferably thou the Federal government will be too busy with other matters to care or do anything about this, and the people of the town will simply be more free.
That is until we get enough such sheriffs, state & local leaders and free folk living under their protection as to have a sizeable polical and practial force. At which point the game is still suing for a compromise. (That means playing reasonable and simply taking what you can get while you slowly over time encore back onto the turf the Feds have sense usurped. Basically a reversal of what they been doing to us over the last 100 years.)
So A war i don’t think so, merely a thousand “little bights” to reclaim that which we have lost.
Last July after the bulldozing incident, and under the local banner of the Nevada Plan for Public Lands, Commissioner Carver filed criminal charges against a Forest Service law-enforcement special agent who, with an agency district ranger, had come to protect a nearby slice of the Toiyabe Forest where Carver was preparing to open a closed road. The charge: "impersonating a peace officer."
And then this...
Meanwhile, most Forest Service employees out West aren't carrying sidearms, as they might have in decades past, but rather wallet-size "crisis cards" telling them what to do if they're arrested by local authorities.
"F" the Feds!
“So A war i dont think so, merely a thousand little bights to reclaim that which we have lost.”
Those are good point. Thanks.
o that is great! *chear*
Once again this won’t lead to war this is simply nibbling at the authority usurped by the Federal Government bit by bit to slowly reclaim what was loss thou attribution.
I do have to extend my respect to the Sheriff however, if he is true in his convictions and stands his ground to protect those who elected him he deserves the job and our respect.
I'd like to see more of them take this position rather than consider citizens nothing more than a problem they are paid to deal with.
At what point did you realize that radical Muslims were serious enough to attack (and change forever) our way of life?
Me too.
The world certainly has changed since 1789.
Devices to undermine the despots in the Dark City are plentiful.
We do not need to cut off their literal heads, we can simply refuse to comply with nonsense on their levels.
Options abound.
That’s a thought.
Clever way to say you have run out of thoughts on the subject.
Or, had a new one...
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
Only if his grandmother actually does have wheels.
