GOP rep: Obama's 'in deep doo-doo' By Bridget Johnson - 08/07/10 01:08 PM ET
Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) said Friday that "a lot of people want to jump off" and follow Christina Romer out of the Obama administration.
"When you see a ship starting to sink, a lot of people want to jump off," the congressman said on Fox Business Network. "And she is one."
Romer, chairwoman of the president's council of economic advisers, announced Thursday that she was leaving Washington and returning to an economics teaching job at the University of California at Berkeley.
"This president is in deep doo-doo and I think a lot of people are saying, 'Hey, we've got to get out of here before we all look bad,'" Burton said.
The Indiana Republican added that he believes the country is headed for a double-dip recession.
"I think the unemployment rate will once again go above 10 percent," Burton said. "I wish it weren't so. If we had somebody like Ronald Reagan in the White House who knew what to do to get the economy moving maybe it wouldn't be that bad."
“’Hey, we’ve got to get out of here before we all look bad,’” Burton said. “
Too late! Anyone who has been associated with obamination is already looking bad and pretty soon the only jobs open to them will be that of journolist.
Romer leaving is not a good thing. She was probably the last person who had Obama’s ear and supported low or at least stable income tax rates. This probably means he is determined to let the tax rates rise on January 1st out of sheer punitive stupidity on economic matters.
Doo Doo is veiled Racism! /s
I wish the GOP would just shut the hell up about Obama being in trouble and how November’s gonna be a bloodbath. This smacks of overconfidence and braggadocio and can have the effect of posting insults in the locker room of the opposing team. As we’ve seen many times in the past, Pubbies have an unsettling ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Please, Repubs — if you want to make a difference, shut your mouths on how ‘good you’re gonna do’ and gird yourselves with confident conservatism and sound fiscal policies. It’s fine to show how left, liberal and Dem policies are making a mess of things, but leave the body counts until after the elections...
How fitting in her choice of school. She moves back to indoctrinate the next generation into believing that her socialist thinking, which has been proved to be wrong, is the only way to go.
“I wonder how Hillary differentiate herself from Obama in 2012.”
She will do just what her slime bucket husband did. Suddenly she will become a centrist; a voice of reason. She is just as much a communist snake as Obama. Hopefully the voters will reject another Bill and Hillary show in November.

:-)
The first thing I thought of when reading that was this:
Eric Burdon - The Animals - We Gotta Get Out Of This Place
You Tube, live TV performace.
Okay, so I've over 60. But I still 'Rock' ;-)
I only report it when it hits a new record low.
I will also report it if it ever hits a new record high. His current high was about 15 minutes after he was sworn in I guess, and unlikely to ever happen.
A masterpiece!
Wow...what a compliment...thank you very much. I have a lot of fun with these.

Limited government, lower spending, and jobs. Simple, universal, and it actually works. I, too, despair at their inability to grasp it.
Its a matter of leadership. Reagan did not have majorities in the congress and was able to get his agenda through. I’m sure you understand that.
Bingo!
We’re a fixin’ to brag our way to defeat if we’re not careful.
in deep doo-doo and all wee - weed up
Not his fault. Could be a victim of the old Okey Doke.
