I took a quick skim of this and it all seems to be dealing with campaign finances. My quick skim found nothing about speech. I’ll have to more fully research this later.

I’m very concerned by the ‘quick to jump’ posts by newer members on this forum. Almost like they are looking for something that just isn’t there. It wasn’t like this in years past, at least nothing like it is now. It is helpful to read the complete post to gain a better understanding.

I did read it. You were using the events in Spain to rationalize an infringement on the free exercise of political speech here in America, do you also believe that the UK's banning of guns is ok in order to reduce crime.?

This is a state law so how are the Senators and Congressmen from the Federal govt. involved in this?

“This is a state law so how are the Senators and Congressmen from the Federal govt. involved in this?”

The list should be a list state legislators. However, any congress member (federal or state) is complicit if they have NOT attempted to inform the public about the legislative process of the GAO Board (appointed members) initiating legislation.

Okay, the list of officials responsible for what is a state law contains all members of the US House and Senate, and that doesn’t make any sense.

Although I don’t doubt the idiots in the Legislature with Gov Diamond Jim Doyle would slam something like this through in the middle of the night.

Frankly, the answer in this case is just massive civil disobedience, ignore it. We have a First Amendment right in the US Constitution and I would DARE them to try and enforce this idiocy.

I wonder if I have any friends in WI that I can write to and print something on the envelope that would challenge this insane “law”?

The legislature did not vote on this rule or law. The Gov. did not sign it either.

Good morning.

Would you be so kind as to re-post this post on Aug 15, 2010 for me?

Do not vote for any liberal/democRAT/socialist politician in the state of WI. Every liberal/democRAT/socialist politician in WI is an asshole.

If and when you WI politicians read this on August 15, send me a FReep mail, and I will give you my address in Florida. Send whomever you like. [Sidebar: I can't guarantee their safety]

[I am not sure how they plan to enforce it - more bureaucrats, perhaps?]

They will only enforce it against those who are making a difference and will use it to threaten and scare everyone else.

Little Hitlers, each and every one of them.

THEY deserve to live in the country they strive to create. WE DON’T.

[oops... is that political speech? Who do I need to pay? :-P).

I used to think tarring and feathering was a joke until I saw a serious recreation of it on Carnivale. I’ll never joke about tarring and feathering again. It’s the same as joking about torturing someone to death. Not a joking matter.

Already been done.

A state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal constitution.

If so, how could WI even think of passing this law? Did they think they could get away with it?

Wrong, wrong again. Please - let’s not resond to each other. I have made a point in my life to avoid people such as yourself.
