Now, the Constitution matters (Vanity)
Cyclone59

As I read the article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch / Pinko Commie Rag, about the smackdown of the obamacare mandate - for those Americans who live in a cave, MO provided a 71% smackdown the federally mandated health care. The democrats have now decided that it doesn't matter what the states vote on a issue because the federal gov't can declare constitutional supremacy. I found it sickening that they ignore the consitituion up until it is used against them in a big way.

Constitutional supremacy does not apply to laws that Constiutitionally are forbidden to exist.

I found it sickening that they ignore the constitution up until it is used against them in a big way.

That's a well-worn page in the standard left wing playbook. They prattle on about how the Constitution is obsolete -- a "living document" that means the opposite of what it actually says. But they have no compunction about wrapping themselves in the Constitution when it furthers their agenda.

For those who haven't read it, here is the "Living Constitution" of liberals, in its entirety:

Preamble:
We the People of the United States, in Order to promote the general Welfare, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Article I:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, and to regulate Commerce among the several States.

Article II:
The legislature shall build a wall of separation between Church & State.

Constitutional supremacy does not apply to laws that Constiutitionally are forbidden to exist.

Not only that, it only applies to those areas where the Constiution grants power to the federal government, no grant, no power, no supremacy.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
...
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

As usual, the MSM/left gives a hardy "F***-You" to the will of the American people. Like all those bent on deceipt and tyranny, they always have a ready - if not always factual - excuse then the wind tacts against them.

But just as is the case with government, we get the media we deserve.

They are strengthened each day only by the number of listeners/viewers/readers they have...it's their ammunition when selling advertising time...in fact, it's their ONLY ammunition. Any media without a following is a non-viable entity for advertising.

Egos also are very prevalent in media, so a strongly worded letter, email, or phone call objecting to their slanted and biased coverage does do some good, in enough volume.

The MSM has elevated themselves to the fourth arm of government, so treat them like the government...vote them out by tuning them out. Over time, it does have an effect.

Amen! Someone needs to show this to 0bamao, Holder and that "judge" in California, along with the morons in congress.

Article III:
No person, unless employed by the Federal Government, shall be allowed to own, possess, carry, work on, see, smell, touch, feel a firearm of any type, caliber, make, model; nor any ammunition for any firearm.

Article IV:
Any woman wishing to elect in her reproductive ‘choice’ can do so ad nauseam, with no notice to her sperm donor; additionally, if she be under the age of consent she cannot consult her parental unit(s), nor any clergy (if one should exist anymore).
