The Senate has voted to confirm Elena Kagan.
Foregone conclusion. At least she isn’t replacing a constitutionalist.
mcconnell need to tell any one that vote for her ,will not get a committee chairmentship next year we are now in a war for FREEDOMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Republicans should of played the Soviet Anthem on Kazoos and Vuvuzelas to welcome her.
The bland insipid face of evil.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologistss original paper said they "could identify no circumstances under which this procedure [partial birth abortion]...would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman." Kagen remove this and replaced it with [partial-birth abortion] "...may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman..."
She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against Obama filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. All of the requests were denied a hearing by her.
Disgusting.
So, on top of the unqualified, partisan, leftist hack president we have, we have an unqualified, partisan, leftist hack on SCOTUS!
Absolutely disgusting!
Another Constitution shredder takes the bench.
This is one that can’t be undone so All who vote yes better find new jobs.
Well, I’m sure softball enthusiasts everywhere are ecstatic.
Ugh.
What was the final vote?
63/37 eutectic...
I’ll bet she’s sportin’ a woodie about now.
6 seconds prompt enough?
When will conservatives get tired of this crap?
Graham, you moron.
SENATE APPROVES KAGAN TO THE SUPREME COURT
Today
By a vote of 63-37 the Senate today approved U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan as the 112th Justice of the Supreme Court. With the confirmation process complete, Kagan will next go to the Supreme Court to take the Constitutional Oath and the Judicial Oath, both to be administered by Chief Justice John Roberts.
Nebraska Democratic Senator Ben Nelson was the only member of his party who opposed Kagan in the final vote. Five Republican Senators joined the Democratic majority to support the nominee: Susan Collins (ME), Lindsey Graham (SC), Richard Lugar (IN), Olympia Snowe (ME) and Judd Gregg (NH).
they think you will forget in 2 years
And Five RINOS voted for her:
Susan Collins (ME), Lindsey Graham (SC), Richard Lugar (IN), Olympia Snowe (ME) and Judd Gregg (NH).
We need a mass purging within the Republican party!
Another sad day for our Republic.
It took Bush 8 years to get 2 appointees. The One took less than two years to get two. The activist judges have been waiting for the right progressive to come along. Let’s hope that the other judges have the same fortitude.
Any republican who voted for her needs to be replaced.
