The 25-year-old Franklin woman who allegedly ran down a cop and fled the crash scene is an accused hooker who violated her probation on a prostitution charge when she ran, according to authorities.
Ari C. Cunard allegedly kept driving Tuesday in Franklin even after a construction worker told her she had just struck a cop, prosecutors said yesterday.
Cunard told the worker, “I’m sorry,” after allegedly hitting Franklin police officer Edward Clifford at the intersection of Interstate 495 and King Street. Then she backed up, went around a construction barrel and took off, said Emily Nesson, assistant Norfolk County district attorney.
When police found a red, 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt parked haphazardly behind Cunard’s apartment building nearby and confronted her, she began to cry and initially claimed that she thought she had hit a traffic cone, Nesson said.
“She asked if she was in trouble,” the prosecutor said.

Were it not for the fact that having a previous "sex rap" most assuredly puts her WAY OVER the tolerable upper limit of previous "hits", I'd find that exceptionally hit-worthy.
