Not really sure why this organization still exists except that the media is protecting them. They should be prosecuted in courts.

AARP, the ultimate commercial rip-off of the elderly.

By getting Medicare Advantage plans eliminated they can sell more of their high priced insurance plans, that is all they care about.

Seniors are nothing but a tool to them!

"Seriously ill old people have a duty to die and get out of the way." Democrat Richard Lamm.

Democrat Obama "just give 'em a pill" care axiom: Old people never seem to die, they just get in the way.

"Duty, Honor, Country.. so die already!" Obamacare.

Why and how did this organization know when I turned 50? Does the government provide this information to them? I have been badgered by them for 13 years now. I will never join, but people continually tell me the join because of all the discounts they get. I suggest they join AAA instead if they like discounts.

Sheesh...the anti-truth, socialization-of-risk collective is running roughshod over a multitude of unsuspecting members

AARP is now pushing for a VAT tax, because Europe has one.

Discounts? Yes, a 2% discount on motel rooms ... most hotels, motels give that, or better, for seniors. Other than that, what do they offer?

Drug discounts? Better deal at Wal-Mart then anything AARP can offer. So, what is the attraction?

I got sucked into the AARP hype when I turned 50. Whew, it didn’t take long to see that that sick organization is nothing more than another arm of the communist Democrat party. No thanks. I’m done with it and they will never get another penny from me or anybody I know.

I’m ripping every ad and offers of new membership cards we get from AARP into little pieces and sending them back to the traitors in the postage-prepaid envelops they send - it’s the least I can do.....

Like tens of thousands of others, I cancelled my membership to AARP over the Health Care issue. They can kiss my butt on both sides.

It ain’t JUST AARP....its most of the country’s administrative elite...snookered by DC Beltway Blindness and liberal arrogance. They are cocooned in a wall of cash tax and debt dollars they control..insulated from the consequences of their Marxist decision-making by regulatory layers and administrative perks. They “watch” the consequences play out in communities across the country, as a lab scientist watches his rats respond to his ideas. The ultimate consequence of this “let them eat cake” attitude toward Flyover Country may well be a grisly French Revolution style dismantling of their house of cards-a probability of which totally escapes them in their isolation form their fellow Americans.

If it’s a liberal cause, the aarpvarks are on it like: flies on stink, ugly on ape, white on rice. Screw them.

I imagine that once ObamaCare and Andy Griffith’s new and improved Medicare kick in, seniors will be able to get a pretty good deal on coffins from AARP.

I got my invite to join aarp as I am facing down the big 5 0 birthday. It went to the shredder.

What I am curious about is how they know who is turning 50, because all my classmates (class of '78) are getting their invites too.

If I join any org it will be http://www.americanseniors.org.

I think AARP was granted control of the “billing codes” whatever that means.
