I got my invite to join aarp as I am facing down the big 5 0 birthday. It went to the shredder.

What I am curious about is how they know who is turning 50, because all my classmates (class of '78) are getting their invites too.

If I join any org it will be http://www.americanseniors.org.

There is nothing about you that is not known - get used to it. Went on the net not long ago to look at other auto ins options. Put in my name and zip code and up popped a picture of my car with a question, “Is this the car you are wanting information on?” Filled a prescription for Celebrex last week - within 24 hours I had received 16 emails from various companies, some telling me about the dangers, others giving me less expensive alternatives and one from an attorney wanting to know if I wanted to be part of a class action suit against the drug maker. All were in my spam. Between Google and all the information you provide on your driver’s license and social security card, it’s pretty well covered.
