Where is the Republican Platform for November?
7-28-10 | Self

Posted on 07/28/2010 5:47:39 AM PDT by CincyRichieRich

Where is the Republican platform? I hear they're all scared again and acting too wimpy to agree to one...Paul Ryan's is apparently too "mature" to embrace. Argghh!

One poster on American Thinker, "MajorMajor" said this:

"If you want to see people fight over each other to get in the voting booth, all you have to do is promise the following: 1. Repeal Obamacare and Financial Reform. 2. Extend the Bush Tax Cuts and create new ones like no capital gain tax. 3. Pledge to reduce spending by 10% across the board every year for the next four years, no exceptions!!! 4. Seal the borders and prosecute all employees who hire illegals. Eliminate all aid and assistance to illegals. When you cut off their jobs and assistance, the illegals will leave on their own. 5. The job is done in Iraq, withdraw the troops immediately.

People want their jobs back, they want prosperity and most importantly, they want their freedoms restored. The party who delivers will get my vote and will win in 2010. "

Man o man, I agree with him 100%. There seems to be a disease among Republicans that we, their constituents, are too touchy feely to agree to something mature or realistic. It's like the "we want the media to like us so badly we will do anything" syndrome.

What say you guys and gals? I haven't seen a platform, and being this disorganized with 3 months to go isn't making me all warm and fuzzy. Approval ratings won't defeat dirty tricks and dead people voting, illegals voting, and voting machines found in democrat poll watchers car trunks!!! (yeah, I remember that).

Opine, please.

The GOP platform will be coming out in September some time. Not much point in bringing it out when nobody is really paying attention.

The Republicans sole purpose is to serve as an ineffective alternative to the communists.

It is a mistake to think they would actually try to implement the ‘will of the people’ should the communists ever let them back in charge. Their only purpose in that event would be to ‘take the fall’ for the failure of communist policies and accelerate the move toward one-world government.

The Republican party hasn’t changed. I hope no one here is counting on them to be any different once we elect them this fall. They always cater to conservatives when they’re running & then throw us under the bus once they get elected.

When are we going to learn?

This hardly qualifies as an ‘Editorial’....

But it makes a great "Letter to the Editor."

And I agree with it. Those who know Republicans involved with writing the platform, contact them. And if it turns out with these planks in it, IT NEEDS TO BE WELL PUBLICIZED!

The Republican platform should be a plank to march the current set of clowns off the ship

Bears repeating loud and bold! I've been thinking this for some time - if the Republicans do succeed in taking over the House and;

Things improve - the Democrats will take the credit & Obama will have a good chance to get a second term. OR -

If things get worse - the Democrats will blame the Republicans & Obama will have a good chance to get a second term.

The Dems are masters at this folks - better be careful what you wish for!

Amen

August is near and is a desert. September will come and with it the revelation and enlightenment

Then there will be October and the earthquake.

We can only hope there is not my expected war in the meantime

There is only ONE issue for NOV.

CLEAN HOUSE.

Frankly no amt of signs works for the media. But if everyone carried a BROOM, that is a message even the Journo-list would understand.

Yep, I always thought posting personal unsourced freeper rants goes under ‘post>Bloggers & Personal’ not ‘post>News/Activism >editorial ’.

Republicans are running on ‘we are not democrats’ this year (similar to democrats 2006) but that alone will not fly in 2012. They will have to come up with something that sounds plausible.

Democratic elected officials represent their voters.

Republican elected officials FEAR their voters. The GOP leadership will do a lot to make sure their voters don't awaken.

And, I must say, George W. Bush was/is exhibit #1.
