Leaders of 21 state Tea Party groups, representing about 10,000 people, said Sunday they have been betrayed by Tom Tancredo and in an open letter beseeched the former congressman not to run for governor as a third-party candidate.
Tancredo has given Republican gubernatorial candidates until noon today to commit to pulling out of the governor's race after the primary if polls show the winner trailing Democrat John Hickenlooper.
If that doesn't happen, Tancredo says, he'll run for governor as the American Constitution Party candidate.

The Denver Post conveniently ignores any “news” that shows dim-bulb-crats in a bad light.
Consider things coming from that paper to be just about as believable as news coming from CNN, CNBC, or MSNBC.
wut?
Dan Maes can’t beat Hickenlooper, Scott McInnis sure as heck can’t beat Hickenlooper, what do we have to lose at this point??
I’m wondering the same thing. Is this just liberal spin to agitate Teas Partiers against Tancredo?
My question: Why would Tea Parties want to endorse the same old GOP?
Shows that the GOP is infested with self seeking would be Lords Of All They Survey who prefer personal power (and dare I say, money making opportunities) over principles. Charlie Crist in Florida is another prime example. Good ridance Arlen!!

“Dan Maes cant beat Hickenlooper, Scott McInnis sure as heck cant beat Hickenlooper, what do we have to lose at this point??”
I kind of agree. I’m not well versed on this subject but it seems to me Tancredo is seeing the possible election of a rat and is trying to get elected to prevent it. Shouldn’t the tea party recognize the prob failure of the other candidates and vote for the one who just might get rid of the democrat liberal?
If the Tea Party of Colorado have selected
Jane Norton and Scott McIness then the
Tea Party in Colorado is less than worthless.Seems like both were anointed by Juan McAmnesty.
If Tancredo can’t win the Republican Primary, what makes him think he can win the Governorship?
“If Tancredo cant win the Republican Primary, what makes him think he can win the Governorship?”
Bingo...he couldn’t and he can’t. It’s not like it was a surprise who the democrats were going to run. The only surprise was that McInnis wasn’t able to get top billing on the primary ballot over Maes. Well and also that McInnis plagarized and Maes has financial reporting problems.
He doesn’t help anyone but himself and trying to keep himself relevant.
There it is again.
‘Leaders’ ..
Democrats are desperate.
Looks right now as if Tommy T has just handed Governor to Hickenlooper, throwing away a golden opportunity to take back Colorado to serve his own ego. The only good that might come of this is his final political grave.
Where was the Colorado Tea Party ? Where is the leadership in the Colorado Republican Party ? He was NOT in the Republican Primary.
Two words.
DICK WAD!
As in the GOP Party Chairman who is as squishy RINO phag as they get.
Dick Wadhams. Affectionately known by real conservatives as “Dick Wad”.
This is why Colorado has gone leftist. There is NO “Conservative” movement in Colorado.
Lot’s of ego. Tancredo being a prime example. I once supported him, giving him my vote for President in the Iowa Straw Poll to keep the Immigration issue alive. Btu he has basely betrayed us with the endorsement of Romney in 2008 and now this.
But all of this, the whole shebang falls at the feat of the Colorado Party Establishment RINO leadership of Dick Wad.
Ebbida, Ebbida, That’s all folks!
“Where was the Colorado Tea Party ?”
Fighting the regurgitated GOP supported candidates that were put forward (Norton, McInness).
Why doesnt Tom run in the R primary against the two Republican candidates? Does he just want to be crowned the R heir apparent?
