Obama went along with it, but he really didn't want to. He was effectively powerless to disagree.
Until the letter's released there's really no way to say how grudgingly the support for his release was.

Each time a story like this appears, I wonder if it will be the one to wake up the 43% who keep giving this abysmal president “strongly approve” in the Rasmussen polling. It seems some cannot (or will not) acknowledge evil in their midst.
